Assistant Athletic Trainer
Taylor Witczak joined the Astros organization in December of 2022 as assistant athletic trainer/physical therapist for the Major League club. His role will be adjusted slightly this season as he will now travel with the club on road trips.
Before joining the Astros, Witczak worked for the Miami Marlins during the 2021-22 seasons, serving as the minor league medical coordinator for most of 2022 and as minor league rehabilitation coordinator from 2021-22.
Prior to beginning his career in baseball, he completed a seasonal athletic training/physical therapy internship with the San Francisco 49ers during the 2020 season.
Witczak received a bachelor’s degree in athletic training and doctorate of physical therapy from Grand Valley State University. He served internships with EXOS, the Arizona Diamondbacks, and Northwestern University Football.
Witczak is from Hudsonville, MI and resides in Houston, TX with his wife, Jessi, and their dogs, Izzy and Marlin.
