Military Appreciation
Toronto Blue Jays - Saturday Salute
During the regular baseball season, the Toronto Blue Jays honour a member of the Canadian Armed Forces every Saturday home game. The honouree, along with their closest family and friends, are invited to Rogers Centre to take in batting practice from behind home plate, meet with players and coaches, and watch the game from the premium Saturday Salute seats. In the third inning, Blue Jays fans come together to recognize the honouree during a special in-game presentation. The Toronto Blue Jays are proud to salute all the brave people of the Canadian forces who serve our country every day.

Toronto Blue Jays Celebrate Canada Day
On Canada Day 2025, the Blue Jays welcomed General Jennie Carigan, Chief of Defence Staff to throw out the Ceremonial First Pitch. With over 35 years of service in the Canadian Armed Forces, General Carigan is the first female appointed Chief of the Defence Staff, Canada’s highest ranked military position.
Celebrating the 60th anniversary of the Canadian Flag, Blue Jays players, coaches, and support staff joined the 200 military members during the Canadian National Anthem holding the flag that spans across the entire outfield.
Each year on Canada Day, Toronto Blue Jays partner with Sunnybrook Veterans Centre, Canada’s largest veterans’ care facility, to host veterans and their families in a suite for the game.
