The Atlanta Braves are proud to host the second-annual Native American All-Star Baseball Showcase at Truist Park on June 23 - 25, 2023. The top 50 high school baseball players of Native American descent from around the country will be selected to participate in a pro-style workout on Saturday, June 24, and a showcase game on Sunday, June 25.
The Native American All-Star Baseball Showcase highlights Native American high school baseball players who aspire to play the game at the next level. Professional scouts and collegiate coaches will be in attendance.
The Pro-Style Workout:
- Focuses on defensive work, fielding, throwing, and catcher pop times.
- Players are selected during Saturdayās batting practice to participate in a Home Run Derby
- Rapsodo Hitting and Pitching units will be available to provide pro-level data and analytics
- Trackman hitting and pitching systems will be available to provide pro-level data and analytics to each participant
The Showcase Game:
- Two teams, each with a 25-man roster.
- Each roster included at least ten pitchers and two dedicated catchers
- Former Major League Baseball players will coach the teams
