On Wednesday, April 8, the Braves invite fans to celebrate the anniversary of Hank Aaron’s record-breaking 715th home run with a block party in Summerhill, the site of that historic moment on April 8, 1974. The Braves will be in Summerhill, one of Atlanta’s most historic neighborhoods, for the 3rd annual Opening Day Block Party to celebrate the 2026 season and the return of Braves baseball. Fans can enjoy activations along bustling Georgia Avenue as the Braves take over to celebrate the beginning of the season while the team is on the road facing the Los Angeles Angels.
Special appearances will be made by Braves entertainment teams, including BLOOPER, the Heavy Hitters, and Tomahawk Team. Fans can enjoy live performances and interactive elements, including a watch party, lawn games, food and drinks from local restaurants, and more. Block party festivities will begin at 3:30 p.m. and First Pitch will take place at 4:07 p.m., with areas to view the Braves game set up along Georgia Avenue and Reed Street in the nearby courtyard and beer garden.
