Brewers to make pair of Miller Park renovations
Club to enhance Dew Deck, Home Plate Lounge for Opening Day in 2013
Milwaukee will upgrade the Dew Deck above the right-field bleachers with a 25-foot rock-climbing wall shaped like a Mountain Dew can and other new features, and the Home Plate Lounge will undergo several changes.
"Every year, we formally survey fans to get a better understanding of their changing tastes and preferences," Brewers chief operating officer Rick Schlesinger said in a statement. "National surveys of fans and media consistently rate the Miller Park fan experience among the very best in all of sports, but we don't take that for granted. We are committed to enhancing the facility and experience every year to remain a top destination for fans."
In addition to the rock-climbing wall, Miller Park's Dew Deck will have new lighting, ceilings and flat-panel TVs next season. The area accommodates parties of 25 to 260 people with stadium seating, an all-you-can-eat buffet, a private bar and restrooms.
The Home Plate Lounge, meanwhile, will undergo several changes. The current concession stand, storage area and restroom will be replaced with a new "Chef's Table" counter, Concierge counter, carpeting, lighting and furniture.
