O's, Brewers celebrate Latin camaraderie in Hispanic Heritage Night ceremony

4:04 AM UTC

Friday was Hispanic Heritage Night at Oriole Park at Camden Yards. During the festivities before the game, there was a nice and unexpected twist.

While a contingent of Latino Orioles players was holding flags from their respective countries on the field, a handful of Latino Brewers players also jogged over to join their fellow countrymen.

The four flags represented on the field were Puerto Rico, Venezuela, the Dominican Republic and Cuba. Players from those countries from both teams include Samuel Basallo, Leody Taveras and Yennier Cano from the Orioles, and the Brewers’ Jackson Chourio, William Contreras, Abner Uribe, Antonio Senzatela, Gary Sánchez and Luis Lara.
