With 11 players making each edition of the Prospect Team of the Week, it's no surprise to get multiple players from the same organization in a given week.
But two pitchers from the same organization? On the same team? Pitching on back-to-back days? Now that's a rarity.
Mariners top pitching prospects Kade Anderson and Ryan Sloan did just that after pitching on Friday and Saturday for Double-A Arkansas. This is the ninth time in the 11-year history of the Prospect Team of the Week that both starting pitchers hailed from the same organization -- and just the second time they've done so while both being on the Top 100 Prospects list (after San Diego's Chris Paddack and Logan Allen in July 2018).
This week's edition also includes a pair of Cardinals prospects from Triple-A Memphis (Joshua Báez and Luis Gastelum) and two Dodgers outfield prospects in the upper Minors (Josue De Paula and James Tibbs III). The Rockies' Charlie Condon joins Anderson, Báez, De Paula and Sloan to give us honorees from the Top 100 this week, which ties the season high.
To be eligible for the Pipeline Prospect Team of the Week, Minor League players must be ranked among their club's Top 30 prospects on Pipeline's lists. (Those in the Majors do not qualify.)
This is the Prospect Team of the Week for May 25-31:

C: Walker Janek, FCL Astros (ROK) and Fayetteville Woodpeckers (Single-A)
Astros No. 4
.571/.600/1.000, 4 G, 8-for-14, 1 HR, 3 2B, 3 RBI, 6 R, 1 BB, 3 K, 1 SB
The Astros' 2024 first-rounder got off to a slow start in his first taste of Double-A action, with a .395 OPS through 19 games before landing on the injured list with a hamstring injury. Back on the field after missing 16 games, Janek has come alive at the plate during a rehab assignment with a pair of home runs and four straight multihit performances. The 2024 Buster Posey Award winner (given to college baseball's best catcher) also threw out two of five attempted basestealers.
1B: Charlie Condon, Albuquerque Isotopes (Triple-A)
Rockies No. 2/MLB No. 74
.412/.545/1.118, 5 G, 7-for-17, 3 HR, 3 2B, 6 RBI, 8 R, 5 BB, 3 K, 1 CS
Condon is really tapping into his power lately, as you'd expect for a slugger who set multiple home run records at Georgia before becoming the third overall pick in 2024. Splitting his time between first base and right field, the 6-foot-5 right-handed swinger has collected at least one extra-base hit in seven straight games, which has helped raise his slugging percentage 90 points to .470. That uptick in power hasn't even come at the expense of contact, as he has just five strikeouts in 31 plate appearances during that stretch, compared to seven walks. This is Condon's third appearance on a Prospect Team of the Week after previously earning honors twice at the end of the 2025 season.
2B: JD Dix, Visalia Rawhide (Single-A)
D-backs No. 6
.333/.520/1.000, 5 G, 6-for-18, 3 HR, 1 3B, 1 2B, 4 RBI, 9 R, 5 BB, 1 K, 1 SB
The 35th overall pick in the 2024 Draft has long had power potential, with room to fill out his 6-foot-2 frame. That's beginning to manifest this year, as he's already blown by his 2025 home run total (2) with nine homers in just 40 games. Dix delivered a two-homer game last Wednesday and followed it up with another roundtripper the following game. The switch-hitter has been especially effective from the left side, where he's slashing .260/.388/.553 with eight homers against right-handed pitching.
3B: Luke Adams, ACL Brewers (ROK)
Brewers No. 11
.385/.500/1.154, 4 G, 5-for-13, 3 HR, 1 2B, 5 RBI, 3 R, 2 BB, 3 K, 1 SB
Adams was heating up in his first stint at Triple-A before landing on the IL in mid-April with a mild right wrist sprain. Embarking on a rehab assignment in the Rookie-level Arizona Complex League, the 6-foot-4 slugger has hardly missed a beat, homering in three of his four games and adding a stolen base for good measure. Notably, Adams has played exclusively first base with the Sounds -- in deference to Top 100 prospect Jett Williams -- but played two of his four games at the hot corner in the ACL.
SS: Jacob Gonzalez, Charlotte Knights (Triple-A)
White Sox No. 23
.533/.563/1.467, 4 G, 8-for-15, 4 HR, 2 2B, 10 RBI, 5 R, 1 BB, 4 K, 1 SB
Gonzalez's power surge continues, as he's officially gone deep more in 52 games this season (19 times) than he did in 298 games across his first three seasons. Four of those came in a three-game stretch last week, including a trio that traveled at least 420 feet. The 2023 first-rounder earned his first callup -- and big league hit -- over the weekend, which cut short his Minor League totals, but it was still enough for his second Prospect Team of the Week nod in the past three weeks.
OF: Joshua Báez, Memphis Redbirds (Triple-A)
Cardinals No. 3/MLB No. 67
.345/.406/1.000, 6 G, 10-for-29, 5 HR, 2 3B, 10 RBI, 10 R, 2 BB, 6 K
Few prospects slugged in the month of May like Báez, who homered 10 times, half of which came last week. The former Vanderbilt commit started his week with back-to-back two-homer games and then went deep again on Thursday. The Massachusetts native has gone for extra bases on 12 of his past 17 hits, although strikeouts remain an issue (up more than 10 percentage points to 31.9 percent). This is Báez's third time on a Prospect Team of the Week after previously making it in July 2023 and June 2025.
OF: James Tibbs III, Oklahoma City Comets (Triple-A)
Dodgers No. 10
.375/.500/1.000, 6 G, 9-for-24, 6 HR, 16 RBI, 6 R, 2 BB, 8 K
Tibbs got off to a red-hot start this season with seven homers in his first eight games. The power waned a bit after, including a stretch of 21 straight games without a roundtripper, but he's back in a big way. The 2024 first-rounder went deep six times last week, including one off rehabbing All-Star reliever Josh Hader in his third multihomer game of the season. The left-handed hitter, who has played almost exclusively designated hitter the past month, has shown almost no platoon split, with a has shown .324/.435/.648 slash line against righties and .319/.407/.681 line against lefties this season. This is his second career Prospect Team of the Week nod after previously making it in June 2025.
OF: Josue De Paula, Tulsa Drillers (Double-A)
Dodgers No. 1/MLB No. 8
.500/.538/1.000, 6 G, 12-for-24, 2 HR, 6 2B, 6 RBI, 11 R, 2 BB, 1 K, 2 SB
De Paula has hit safely in 15 of his past 16 games and ended last week with his best performance of the season: a four-hit, two homer game. The 21-year-old is the only player in the Texas League with three four-hit games this season and ranks top-five on the circuit in all triple-slash categories (.323/.424/.545). The cherry on top is that is doing it all with more walks (33) than strikeouts (30), thanks in part to a 20 percent chase rate that would rank among the league leaders in the Majors.
LHP: Kade Anderson, Arkansas Travelers (Double-A)
Mariners No. 2/MLB No. 6
1-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 G, 1 GS, 5.1 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 9 K, 0.38 WHIP
Anderson continues to make his case as the best pitching prospect in the Minors -- he's already the top-ranked southpaw -- with nine strikeouts across 5 1/3 scoreless innings and just two hits allowed. Out of nine starts this year, the 2025 first-rounder has held opponents scoreless in five of them and not issued a walk in four. He leads all qualified Minor Leaguers with a 37.5 percent K-BB rate and 11th with a .171 average against, leaving little doubt that his formidable four-pitch mix is ready for a new challenge soon. This is his second Prospect Team of the Week honors after also making it after his pro debut.
RHP: Ryan Sloan, Arkansas Travelers (Double-A)
Mariners No. 3/MLB No. 21
1-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 G, 1 GS, 6 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 11 K, 0.00 WHIP
One night after Anderson pitched for the Travelers, Sloan one-upped him with 11 strikeouts across six perfect innings. Remarkably, he only needed 61 pitches to get through that start, in part because seven of those K's came on three or four pitches. In fact, it was the first time he pitched into the sixth inning in a start since his pro debut last year. Although his 4.34 ERA is higher than many would hope this year, the 6-foot-5 hurler has impressive underlying stats with a 3.01 FIP, 31.8 percent strikeout rate and 6.5 percent walk rate.
RP: Luis Gastelum, Memphis Cardinals (Triple-A)
Cardinals No. 26
3-0, 0.00 ERA, 3 G, 5.2 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 8 K, 0.35 WHIP
Gastelum is one of four ranked prospects who have a 70-grade changeup, and he's been riding the pitch to outstanding results now that he's reached the highest level of the Minors. The 24-year-old throws the pitch more than any other in his arsenal and still gets a 37.0 percent whiff rate on it, with opponents hitting .171/.145/.200 on it. This is the right-hander's third time making a Prospect Team of the Week after previously doing so in June and August 2025.
