On June 25, 2022, in support of Operation Blue Ribbon and the Phoenix Police Department, two teams of hometown heroes came together at Chase Field for a softball clinic and game. Each player received a Gonzo’s Hometown Heroes T-shirt and D-backs hat. The highlight of the day came when Luis Gonzalez presented Officer Tyler Moldovan with his official #PHXPD badge. Officer Moldovan had been critically wounded in the line of duty before completing his first year with the Phoenix Police Department, making the moment especially meaningful.
