Davis to return to Mets Friday

Mets first baseman Ike Davis will return to the big league club on Friday.

Davis was sent to Triple-A Las Vegas on June 10 after he had hit just .161 with five homers and 16 RBIs in 186 at-bats.

Davis hit .293 with seven homers and a .424 on-base percentage in the Pacific Coast League. The biggest change in his swing during his time in the Minors was reducing a slight hitch that evidently impacted his timing.

Current Mets first baseman Josh Satin has produced for the Mets recently, hitting .353 in his 18 games.
