Mets unveil 2014 Spring Training schedule

NEW YORK -- Pairs of exhibition games in Las Vegas and Montreal highlight the Mets' 2014 Spring Training schedule, which includes 33 matchups against Major League foes.

The Mets will play exhibitions against the Cubs in Las Vegas on March 15-16, in addition to previously-scheduled games against the Blue Jays in Montreal on March 28-29. Cashman Field in Vegas is home to the Mets' Triple-A affiliate.

Tickets to the Las Vegas games are available online at LV51.com or by calling 702-798-7825, while season tickets to Grapefruit League games in Port St. Lucie, Fla., are on sale now by calling the Port St. Lucie Ticket Office at 772-871-2115. Single-game tickets will be available for purchase beginning Jan. 18, at 10 a.m. ET, with information available at Mets.com.

New York's Grapefruit League schedule opens on Feb. 28 with a 1:10 p.m. game against Washington, one of six spring matchups between the Mets and Nationals. Due to geographical proximity, the Mets will play the Nats, Marlins and Cardinals six times apiece, the Braves four times, the Astros three times and the Tigers and Twins twice.

The Mets on Monday also announced the launch of the 2014 Amazin' Getaways Spring Training packages, with departures from New York scheduled for Feb. 28, March 7, March 13 and March 21. All packages include hotel accommodations, rental car and game tickets, while the latter three packages also include an exclusive pregame brunch and meet and greet with a Mets player or coach. The Mets will open their 2014 Major League season on Monday, March 31 at Citi Field with a 1:10 p.m. game against the Nationals. Single-game regular-season tickets will go on sale this Saturday at 10 a.m. on Mets.com.
