Padres agree to terms with 24 players on 2013 contracts
All players on the 40-man roster under contract for 2013 season
The San Diego Padres today announced that they have agreed to terms with 24 players on contracts for the 2013 season. Executive Vice President/General Manager Josh Byrnes made the announcement.
Agreeing to terms were right-handed pitchers Anthony Bass, Brad Boxberger, Brad Brach, Andrew Cashner, Fautino De Los Santos, Casey Kelly, Miles Mikolas, Adys Portillo, Tyson Ross, Dale Thayer, Nick Vincent and Joe Wieland, left-handed pitchers Jose De Paula, Tommy Layne and Eric Stults, infielders Yonder Alonso, Alexi Amarista, James Darnell, Logan Forsythe, Jesus Guzman and Edinson Rincon and outfielders Yeison Asencio, Jaff Decker and Rymer Liriano
Already under contract for the 2013 season were right-handed pitchers Luke Gregerson, Jason Marquis, Huston Street and Edinson Volquez, left-handed pitchers Cory Luebke, Clayton Richard and Joe Thatcher, catchers John Baker, Yasmani Grandal and Nick Hundley, infielders Everth Cabrera and Chase Headley and outfielders Kyle Blanks, Chris Denorfia, Mark Kotsay, Cameron Maybin, Carlos Quentin and Will Venable.
With today's announcement, all players on the Padres 40-man roster are now under contract for the 2013 season.
