Left fielder was removed from the Padres’ 7-6 loss to the D-backs on Saturday night at Chase Field in the second inning because of cramping in both calves, the team announced. Three innings later, right fielder departed because of back tightness.

Pham fielded what appeared to be a routine single by D-backs left fielder David Peralta and threw the ball to second base. Shortly after the throw, he walked off the field and was replaced in left field by .

“We will see how [Pham] recovers tonight and the same thing with Wil with the neck and back tightening up,” Padres manager Jayce Tingler said. “We probably won’t truly know until the morning and they get up here and go through their pregame stuff.”

Pham, who was moved to leadoff spot for the first time all season, struck out in his first at-bat of the game Saturday and went 0-for-4 Friday. He has three hits in his 19 at-bats during the current road trip. For the season, Pham is hitting .205 with two home runs and nine RBIs. He has scored eight times and has fiven stolen bases.

Myers left the game in the middle of the fifth inning. He was 1-for-2 with a second-inning double before leaving, raising his batting average to .288. replaced him in the lineup, setting off a cascade of defensive changes. Garcia entered at second base, moved from second to left field and Olivares shifted from left to right field.

“I’m guessing it was at the beginning with his double, maybe he jarred something there on his headfirst slide and it got progressively worse as it was going on,” Tingler said. “It’s tough losing two guys like that, especially early in the game like that.”
