Dr. Héctor Colón
Dr. Héctor Colón-Rivera is a quintuple board-certified psychiatrist (including Sports and Performance Psychiatry), physician executive, and innovator at the intersection of behavioral health, technology, and systems transformation. He is known for combining clinical excellence with strategic leadership to expand access, improve outcomes, and scale impact.
As Medical Director of Behavioral Health at Asociación Puertorriqueños en Marcha (APM), he leads integrated mental health and substance use services for underserved communities in Philadelphia, aligning clinical care with broader initiatives in housing, education, and economic development.
Dr. Colón-Rivera is Co-Founder and Chief Medical Officer of OKHealth.ai, an AI-driven digital health platform, and an attending psychiatrist at UPMC, where he advances access to telepsychiatry. He also co-founded CrearConSalud.org, a nonprofit focused on mental health education and advocacy.
He has served for over six years on Pennsylvania’s Advisory Committee on Alcohol and Other Drugs and as an advisor to Puerto Rico’s Opioid Response Team. Within the American Psychiatric Association, he has held national leadership roles, including President of the Hispanic Caucus, advancing equity and representation in mental health.
He is the entrepreneurial innovator for Intrinsic Me™, a private coaching and psychiatric performance program.
A bilingual (English/Spanish) speaker and global thought leader, Dr. Colón-Rivera has delivered 200+ presentations on behavioral health innovation, addiction psychiatry, trauma-informed care, and emerging technologies in psychiatry.
