Pete studied mechanical engineering at Mizzou and scored 34 out of a possible 36 points on his ACT…had baseball not worked out, he had hoped to work for Boeing designing military aircraft...He and his wife, Lydia, have a son, Isak, and daughter, Lotte…the two met in an acting class at Mizzou…Lydia played volleyball for the Tigers...Pete tries to pick up a new hobby each year and plans to build LEGO sets this year, possibly featuring them in time-lapse videos…the interest began when Isak wanted nothing to do with Duplos, preferring full-size sets…while Pete remains interested, Isak has since become distracted by the bounce house in their basement...His father, Shane, played baseball at Mizzou and then for one season in the minor leagues (1983)… both of his grandparents on his mom’s side attended Mizzou and his two uncles and maternal grandfather all played football there.
