Made seven starts for Springfield (AA) before a shoulder injury ended his season in mid-May...Fanned a season-high eight batters in consecutive starts from April 19-25...Was 1-0 with a 5.68 ERA (19.0 IP) and 23 strikeouts in four April starts...Placed on the seven-day injured list on May 25 and missed parts of the next three months...Rehabbed at Palm Beach (A) and made three starts from Aug. 28-Sept. 8.

2023

Began the season at Frisco (AA) and made 10 starts before being traded to the Cardinals and finished his season with four starts at Springfield (AA)...Combined to go 2-3 with a 4.63 ERA over 14 starts striking out 69 batters over 58.1 innings with a 1.20 WHIP...Did not pitch more than 3.0 innings or throw more than 51 pitches in any of his final four starts with Springfield...Was placed on the seven-day injured list with a right shoulder injury following his start vs. San Antonio (6/3)...Did not pitch again until Aug. 26, when he was acquired by the Cardinals organization and removed from the injured list...Pitched for Scottsdale in the Arizona Fall League, where he was named to the AFL Fall Stars Game.
