Thomas Anthony White was originally signed by A's scout Kelcy Mucker…graduated from IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla…played his freshman season at North Carolina State in 2022 and then transferred to LSU for 2023-24…hit .355 with 75 home runs, 249 RBI and a 1.123 OPS in 187 games over three collegiate seasons…was ACC Freshman of the Year in 2022, helped lead LSU to the College World Series championship in 2023 when he led the nation with 105 RBI.

2025

Began the season at High-A Lansing where he hit .260 in 66 games before being promoted to Double-A Midland in late July…batted .311 in 27 games with the RockHounds and com bined for a .275 batting average, 12 home runs, 51 RBI and a .773 OPS in 93 games...Struck out 51 times for an average of 7.31 plate appearances per strikeout...Tied for eighth in the A's farm system in home runs and ranked 10th in doubles (23)...Had a .310 batting average in 37 games through June 15, hit .199 over a 35-game stretch from June 17 to Aug. 3 and then batted .341 over his final 21 contests...Hit .333 (33-for-99) with an .882 OPS against left-handed pitchers, .253 (66-for-261) with a .732 OPS against right-handers...Had a .274 batting average with runners in scoring position...Combined for a .300 batting average and 10 of his 12 home runs in 54 games in his home ballparks…had a .242 average in 39 games on the road...Six of his 12 home runs came in the seventh inning or later…six came when putting the first pitch in play...Started 77 games at third base, 11 at designated hitter and four at first base…made 18 errors, all as a third baseman, and had a .895 fielding percentage at the hot corner…tied for fifth among Minor League third basemen in most errors...Struck out in his lone pinch hitting appearance...Made starts at every spot in the batting order except first, eighth and ninth…hit .336 in 29 games batting leadoff and .314 in 27 starts in the clean-up spot.

Was the A's second round selection in the 2024 draft and made his professional debut with Single-A Stockton…batted .224 with two home runs, 14 RBI and a .602 OPS in 25 games… had a .250 batting average and .640 OPS against right-handed pitchers, .105 with a .413 OPS against left-handers…his average improved slightly to .250 with runners in scoring position… both of his home runs came with runners on base…was 1-for-6 (.167) with three RBI with the bases loaded…hit .324 in eight home games, .178 in 17 road games…started 22 games at third base and three at designated hitter…committed one error for a .973 fielding percentage…made 24 starts hitting third and one batting second…made his pro debut on Aug. 10 against Lake Elsinore and went 2-for-5 in a start at third base…had a season-high eight-game hitting streak from Aug. 24 to Sept. 1 (11-for-33, .333)…scored one run in each game during the streak…hit his first home run on Aug. 25 against Fresno…his second and final long ball came three days later against Inland Empire.
