Began the season at High-A Lansing where he hit .260 in 66 games before being promoted to Double-A Midland in late July…batted .311 in 27 games with the RockHounds and com bined for a .275 batting average, 12 home runs, 51 RBI and a .773 OPS in 93 games...Struck out 51 times for an average of 7.31 plate appearances per strikeout...Tied for eighth in the A's farm system in home runs and ranked 10th in doubles (23)...Had a .310 batting average in 37 games through June 15, hit .199 over a 35-game stretch from June 17 to Aug. 3 and then batted .341 over his final 21 contests...Hit .333 (33-for-99) with an .882 OPS against left-handed pitchers, .253 (66-for-261) with a .732 OPS against right-handers...Had a .274 batting average with runners in scoring position...Combined for a .300 batting average and 10 of his 12 home runs in 54 games in his home ballparks…had a .242 average in 39 games on the road...Six of his 12 home runs came in the seventh inning or later…six came when putting the first pitch in play...Started 77 games at third base, 11 at designated hitter and four at first base…made 18 errors, all as a third baseman, and had a .895 fielding percentage at the hot corner…tied for fifth among Minor League third basemen in most errors...Struck out in his lone pinch hitting appearance...Made starts at every spot in the batting order except first, eighth and ninth…hit .336 in 29 games batting leadoff and .314 in 27 starts in the clean-up spot.
