Vote NOW to give Reds' duo All-Star starts

CINCINNATI -- The Reds have a legitimate opportunity to get two of their players into the All-Star Game as starters. Both corner outfielders, and , advanced to become All-Star ballot finalists on Sunday.

Finalists include the highest vote-getters from Phase 1 balloting -- the top nine outfielders and top three at the other positions.

Atlanta right fielder Ronald Acuña Jr. led all National League players in voting. Castellanos was second among outfielders while Winker finished in third place.

You can vote NOW up until 2 p.m. ET on Thursday, July 1. Fans can vote at mlb.com/vote -- or on Google by searching "MLB All-Star vote" or "Vote" along with a player's name. You can vote daily on both platforms, including once per day on MLB.com. The All-Star starters will then be unveiled on Thursday at 9 p.m. ET, on ESPN, when the results of Phase 2 balloting are announced. Voting from the first round does not carry over into the second round.

Both Castellanos and Winker are seeking their first appearances in the All-Star Game.

Castellanos, 29, entered Sunday leading the NL in batting average (.348), hits (97), doubles (26), extra-base hits (41) and total bases (167). He is second in on-base percentage (.400), slugging percentage (.599) and OPS (.999). The right fielder has also hit 17 home runs with 43 RBIs.

Winker, 27, is third in the NL with a .325 average and .590 slugging percentage and fourth with a .399 OBP. He already has his career high in homers (18) and RBIs (46) this season.

The All-Star pitchers and reserves will be named on Sunday, July 4, at 5:30 p.m. ET on ESPN, and the All-Star Game, held at Coors Field in Colorado, is Tuesday, July 13 on FOX.
