2018 RECAP

Nearly 3,200 runners and walkers participated on Saturday, June 2, 2018 in the 17th annual CollegeAdvantage Redlegs Run at Great American Ball Park, raising over $129,000 for the Reds Community Fund.

  • The overall top 5K male finisher was Charles Rooney of Cincinnati with a time of 16:13
  • The overall top 5K female finisher was Kristen Leslie of Cincinnati with a time of 19:01
  • The overall top 10K male finisher was Andrew Bryan of Cincinnati with a time of 35:18   
  • The overall top 10K female finisher was Daniella Orton of Washington DC with a time of 39:26

The charitable proceeds allow the Reds Community Fund to operate its outreach initiatives. The The Reds Community Fund is dedicated to improving the lives of youth through its baseball and softball-themed outreach efforts. Programs include the Reds Rookie Success League, a free, coed, character-building program for 6-12 year olds in Greater Cincinnati, Butler County, Clermont County, Louisville and Dayton; Reds Youth Baseball and Softball Funding, which underwrites expenses for more than 700 inner-city teams throughout Reds Country; and Field Renovation, which has helped restore over 370 baseball and softball fields. Including the P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy, Youth Baseball "Match" and Greater Cincinnati RBI programs, more than 45,000 kids and coaches will be connected to the Community Fund in 2018.
