ABOUT THE RACE

Entry fees are per person for each race.

Join runners and walkers in the 23rd annual CollegeAdvantage Redlegs Run at Great American Ball Park and help raise funds for the Reds Community Fund. Walkers and runners of all ages are welcome, except the Gapper's Kids Fun Run, which is limited to kids ages 10 and under. All participants will receive a custom race medal, race shirt, professional chip-timing with live results, free downloadable race photography, a post-race party in the First Star Fan Zone, one (1) View Level ticket to the Thursday, June 6 Reds vs. Cubs home game.

8:00 am

10K starts near the corner of Mehring Way and Broadway Street (near the Paddle Wheel).

  • The 6.2-mile course starts at Great American Ball Park, winds through downtown Cincinnati and finishes inside the ballpark near home plate.

5K starts near the corner of Mehring Way and Broadway Street (near the Paddle Wheel).

  • The 3.1-mile course starts at Great American Ball Park, winds through downtown Cincinnati and finishes inside the ballpark near home plate.

9:00 am

One Mile Run starts near the corner of Mehring Way and Broadway Street (near the Paddle Wheel).

  • The 1-mile course starts at Great American Ball Park, turns around by Paycor Stadium and finishes inside the ballpark near home plate.
  • Registration for the One Mile Run will remain open until the start of the race.
  • Note: entry fees are per person for this race.

10:00 am

Gapperā€™s Kids Fun Run (children 10 years and younger) starts inside Great American Ball Park on the warning track. Please enter via the First Star Fan Zone and head down to the field using the stairs by Section 133 by 9:45am.

  • This short course is along the warning track inside Great American Ball Park.
  • Registration for the Gapperā€™s Kids Fun Run will remain open until the start of the race.

AWARDS AND RESULTS

All 5K and 10K participants will be electronically timed. The One Mile Run and Gapperā€™s Kids Fun Run are not chip timed. However, there are race clocks at the finish line. Bibs will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis during packet pick-up.

  • The top three 5K males, top three 5K females, top three 10K males and top three 10K females will be honored on the field during a pre-game ceremony, prior to the June 6 Reds vs. Cubs home game.
  • The top overall 5K male and female will each toss a simultaneous ceremonial first pitch prior to the June 6 Reds vs. Cubs home game.
  • The top overall 10K male and female will each toss a simultaneous ceremonial first pitch prior to the June 6 Reds vs. Cubs home game.
  • The top male and female 5K and 10K runners in each of the 14 age groups (under 10, 11-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, over 70) will be awarded a Reds prize. Prizes must be picked up the day of the race in the First Star Fan Zone**.**

NEW IN 2024

All Redlegs Run participants will have the opportunity to raise money for the Reds Community Fund. Runners and walkers can create their individual fundraising page, in which family, friends, colleagues and other Reds fans can donate through a personalized link. Check out the leaderboard below, or go to the Personal Fundraiser Tab! The first 20 people to raise $250 will receive a random autographed item from a current Cincinnati Reds player!

PACKET PICK UP

Participants will receive an email approximately one week prior to the race confirming dates and times for packet pick-up. Please check this website for the most up-to-date information.

All packet pick-ups will be located at Great American Ball Park inside of the main gates. You may use short term street parking of Joe Nuxhall Way.

Bibs will be assigned on a first-come, first-served basis during packet pick-up.

You can pick up another participantā€™s bib for them. Please have their first and last name and the race they registered for. If they have a common name like John Smith, please provide their birthdate too.

  • Friday, May 31: 10:00am EDT ā€“ 3:00pm EDT
  • Saturday, June 1 (race morning): 6:30am EDT - start of race

PHOTOS

Photographers will be on-hand to capture high-resolution shots of all participants. You can track those photos using your bib number. After the race, each participant will be emailed free photos of themselves throughout the race. Share them on social media using #RedlegsRun. To ensure that you receive your photos, please wear your bib on the front of your torso and donā€™t cover it up.

VOLUNTEERS

Interested in volunteering for the Redlegs Run? Volunteers provide crucial support for thousands of Reds racers. There are a variety of positions available, making it the perfect event for everyone!

  • Over 150 volunteers are needed on race day for a variety of tasks.
  • Volunteers are needed from 6:00am ā€“ 11:30am, shift times may vary depending upon assignments.
  • Ability to pair up with friends or family members.
  • All volunteers will receive a race shirt.
  • Breakfast will be provided.
  • Each volunteer will receive two (2) View Level tickets to the Thursday, June 6 Reds vs. Cubs home game.
  • Event information will be e-mailed to volunteers one week prior to the event.

Volunteers will need to commit to working an entire shift. Please make sure you are available from the start to finish of desired positions. Volunteers must be 16 years or older. If you are interested in working with a friend, please indicate the name of the volunteer youā€™d like to be paired with.

Groups are welcome! It is a great team-building event for schools, clubs, sports teams, fraternities, sororities and business. We are happy to provide verification of community service hours in return. One chaperone is required for every 10 volunteers under 18 to ensure sufficient supervision. Please be thoughtful regarding the number of volunteers your group will be able to supply as we rely on your anticipated number to ensure coverage and full support for our participants.

PARKING

Please give yourself ample time to travel to Great American Ball Park, find parking, and get to the start line. Traffic may be heavy on race morning. The Reds Community Fund encourages arriving early and carpooling. Arrive early if you plan on parking near the start line. Roads surrounding Great American Ball Park will close at 7:30am. Please be aware of the course map when looking for parking. Roads will re-open approximately 30 minutes after the last participant clears each race section. All roads will open no later than 10:30am.

Please note: SP+ manages the parking and on-site traffic operation for Great American all Park. Parking prices are subject to change without further notice.

Registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. Sorry, no exceptions. This means once we receive your registration, you are unable to receive a refund if you cannot participate. This No Refunds Policy applies even if the Event is cancelled for any reason. If this occurs, your registration fee will be considered a tax-deductible donation to the Reds Community Fund to be utilized for one of their many outreach initiatives.
