Light, 25, made his major league debut on April 26 against the Atlanta Braves at Turner Field, allowing two runs on two hits in 1.0 inning of work in his only appearance with the Red Sox this season. In 20 relief outings for the PawSox, he has gone 5-for-5 in save opportunities while posting a 2.05 ERA (6 ER/26.1 IP) and a .161 opponent batting average (15-for-93) with 32 strikeouts, 13 walks, and only one home run allowed. Light has not surrendered a run in 10 appearances since May 21, allowing only six hits with 13 strikeouts in 12.0 innings during that span. Selected by Boston in the supplemental round of the 2012 June Draft, Light converted to a full-time reliever following the 2014 season. In 117 career minor league appearances, including 49 starts, the New Jersey native is 12-18 with 10 saves, a 4.41 ERA (140 ER/286.0 IP), and 236 strikeouts.

Rodriguez, 23, is 1-3 with an 8.59 ERA (28 ER/29.1 IP) in six starts with the Red Sox this season. The Venezuelan native also made five starts over two rehab assignments with Pawtucket earlier in 2016, going 0-3 with a 3.54 ERA (11 ER/28.0 IP). Acquired by the Red Sox from the Orioles on July 31, 2014, Rodriguez made his major league debut last season and went 10-6 with a 3.85 ERA (52 ER/121.2 IP) in 21 starts, earning Red Sox Pitcher of the Year and Rookie of the Year honors from the Boston Baseball Writers' Association of America. In 106 minor league appearances (105 starts) between the Orioles and Red Sox organizations, the left-hander is 29-33 with a 3.25 ERA (203 ER/562.2 IP) and five complete games.
