BOSTON, MA – The Boston Red Sox today announced their 2026 Spring Training exhibition season schedule, which begins Friday, February 20, against the Northeastern University Huskies at JetBlue Park at Fenway South in Fort Myers, Florida. The club will play its first of 28 Grapefruit League games the following day against the Minnesota Twins at Lee Health Sports Complex in Fort Myers. Red Sox Spring Training is presented by CVS Health.
Ahead of the 2026 World Baseball Classic, the Red Sox will host Team Puerto Rico for an exhibition game at JetBlue Park Tuesday, March 3. The teams last met for a WBC exhibition matchup prior to the 2023 tournament.
Top Red Sox prospects will take on Baltimore Orioles prospects Friday, March 20, in Sarasota, Florida, as part of MLB's third annual Spring Breakout. With the contest on the road, the Red Sox will host a Minor League exhibition game at JetBlue Park Saturday, March 14. The "Futures at Fenway South" matchup will give fans the opportunity to interact with top prospects, receive autographs, and see Boston's young talent in action.
The Red Sox will play 11 games against AL East opponents, including two against the New York Yankees. Boston will host New York Wednesday, March 4, and face the Yankees in Tampa, Florida, Wednesday, March 18. Other divisional matchups include five games against the Tampa Bay Rays, two games against the Toronto Blue Jays, and two against Baltimore. Non-divisional opponents include the Twins, Pittsburgh Pirates, Atlanta Braves, Philadelphia Phillies, and Detroit Tigers.
Boston will conclude its Grapefruit League schedule with a matchup against Pittsburgh Sunday, March 22, in Bradenton, Florida. Before traveling to Cincinnati to open the 2026 regular season, the Red Sox will host Minnesota for an exhibition game at JetBlue Park Monday, March 23, and face the Twins at Lee Health Sports Complex Tuesday, March 24.
