Omaha Storm Chasers (45-28)

Omaha dropped an afternoon game at home. Salvador Perez was 4-for-4 with three runs scored, boosting his average to .340 in 12 rehab games (17-for-50). Omaha's 6-7-8 hitters (Tony Abreu, David Lough and Max Ramirez) combined for four home runs and eight RBI. Starter Ryan Verdugo allowed five runs on six hits and four walks over 4.2 innings.

NW Arkansas Naturals (1-0 in second half, 38-33 overall)

Paulo Orlando's two-run single keyed a four-run seventh as Northwest Arkansas moved to 3-0 vs. Tulsa. Orlando added an RBI triple to finish with three RBI. Lorenzo Cain continued his rehab assignment, adding two hits and two runs. Felipe Paulino made a rehab start, allowing three runs on four hits and two walks over 3.0 innings. Ryan Dennick tossed 3.0 scoreless frames for the relief win.

Wilmington Blue Rocks (29-41)

The Blue Rocks enjoyed a third and final day off for the Carolina League's All-Star break. They open a road trip on Thursday at Carolina (Indians).

Kane County Cougars (34-36)

The Cougars were off on Wednesday after hosting the Midwest League All-Star Game on Tuesday. They resume play on Friday at Clinton (Mariners).

Idaho Falls Chukars (3-0)

Idaho Falls completed a three-game sweep of Orem. Starter Andrew Ferguson limited the Owlz to a run on five hits and two walks over 4.0 innings. Sam Selman worked 2.2 innings of scoreless relief to win in his professional debut. The lefty out of Vanderbilt was KC's second-round pick in this month's draft. Julio Aparicio drove in two runs to finish the series 7-for-12 with six RBI. Idaho Falls plays host to the league's newest team, the Grand Junction Rockies, on Thursday.

Burlington Royals (2-0)

Mark Threlkeld's two-run homer in the eighth made the score 6-5 as Burlington went on to a second straight win. Chris Elder added two hits and two RBI, with Terrance Gore and Adrian Morales scoring two runs apiece. Third-round pick Colin Rodgers made his pro debut, holding Pulaski scoreless on a hit and two walks over 2.0 innings. Ninth-round selection Daniel Stumpf retired all six batters in his debut to earn the win.
