As usual, was manning second base for the Yankees on Monday night. What he probably didn’t expect on top of his normal job was groundskeeping duties.

During the fourth inning of the Yankees’ game at Detroit’s Comerica Park, the dirt camera near Chisholm’s position at second base popped up. As the Yankees infield gathered around the exposed camera, Chisholm started poking and prodding at it with his cleat for about a minute, before it was basically back in place.

Making this unusual scene even funnier was the commentary from the Detroit broadcast booth of Jason Benetti and Andy Dirks. With the broadcast showing the view from the dirt camera as Chisholm was kicking it, Benetti and Dirks essentially enacted the thoughts and experiences of the camera.

“Hey! Ow! I’m just trying to work here,” exclaimed Benetti on behalf of the dirt camera.

After Chisholm tried fixing the camera, the Tigers’ groundskeepers came out to finish the job, a process that delayed the game for about five minutes.
