I don’t know about you, but was definitely feeling 22 on Wednesday, assuming another trip around the sun provides a boost in home-run pop.

Petry, the Nationals’ No. 13 prospect, hit a pair of big flies for Double-A Harrisburg in an 11-6 victory over Erie at FNB Field. Washington’s 2025 second-rounder celebrated his 22nd birthday in style.

Petry’s first homer came in the sixth inning with two outs. He pushed a fastball the other way for the opposite-field solo shot, a frozen rope that landed in the bullpen. That made it 5-2 Senators at the time.

He returned in the eighth with another solo homer for a bit of insurance, making it 8-5. This time, Petry jumped on a hanging breaking ball and cleared the high wall in left field.

The pair of long balls represented Petry’s second and third already in just seven games at Double-A. He also walked and stole a base during a 2-for-3 day.

The 6-foot-4, 235-pound outfielder/first baseman boasts 60-grade power -- tied with Abimelec Ortiz for tops in the Washington system -- and has been putting it to good use in 2026. Petry demolished High-A pitching in 43 games, collecting a .297/.392/.521 slash line with nine homers.

Now in Harrisburg, the University of South Carolina product has shown no signs of slowing down.
