But most of all, MLB.TV brings you baseball action every night. Here are some of the best matchups you can enjoy during MLB.TV’s Rivalry Weekend Free Preview:
Yankees at Mets: A Subway Series is always ripe for drama. The Yankees and Mets enter the weekend having vastly different seasons so far. The Bronx Bombers are right in the thick of things for the AL East lead while the Amazins are in last place in the NL East. But when these two meet, the standings don't mean much. Both teams have star power, so it should be a fun series.
Padres at Mariners: There's a potential reality in which this matchup serves as a World Series preview. The Padres have been at or near the top of the NL West all season, proving themselves once again to be a potent challenge for opponents. The Mariners, meanwhile, continue to make noise in the AL West as they aim for another deep run in October.
Reds at Guardians: It's another battle for Ohio bragging rights -- and another matchup that could be a preview of October. The Reds are a big reason why the NL Central has been baseball's best division this season, with no team below .500 entering the weekend. For their part, the Guardians lead the AL Central and have won three straight heading into the series.
Phillies at Pirates: This all-Pennsylvania series pits two teams with postseason aspirations, with both having played well of late. The Phillies didn't start the season the way they wanted, but they've steadily built momentum in recent weeks. Meanwhile, the Pirates have been another key piece of the surprisingly powerful NL Central. Each team knows this series is a good chance to make a statement about who they are.
Red Sox at Braves: The teams once shared a city and have 13 World Series titles between them. While most of those came in the 20th century, they've each continued to chase titles in the 21st century. The Red Sox have four titles since 2000, while the Braves have just one. But with the best record in baseball this season, Atlanta hopes to make a run toward another championship in 2026.
