Latest Prospect Team of the Week is full of familiar faces

9:27 PM UTC

The Prospect Team of the Week is becoming a familiar home for several players this season.

The latest edition includes four players who will be making their fourth appearance of 2026, including Yankees southpaw Henry Lalane, who is appearing for the third time in four weeks. Charlie Condon -- one of two Top 100 prospects, along with Zyhir Hope, on the list -- is back for the third time in six weeks, while Andrew Fischer has made it three times in nine weeks.

Austin Overn, the final member of these familiar faces, is back for his third appearance despite playing only 46 games this season. Not too bad for someone who hit .249/.355/.399 last season.

To be eligible for the Pipeline Prospect Team of the Week, Minor League players must be ranked among their club's Top 30 prospects on Pipeline's lists. (Those in the Majors do not qualify.)

This is the Prospect Team of the Week for June 29-July 5:

C: Luke Stevenson, Everett AquaSox (High-A)
Mariners No. 7
.421/.500/.842, 5 G, 8-for-19, 2 HR, 2 2B, 9 RBI, 5 R, 3 BB, 9 K, 1 SB

The Mariners drafted Stevenson 35th overall last July because of his legitimate left-handed power and chance to stick behind home plate. Stevenson got off to a strong start at High-A with a .982 OPS in April, and after a slow May and June, he's back to slugging in July. The North Carolina product is 8-for-17 to start this month, with half those hits going for extra bases. On the season, his .411 on-base percentage is second among qualified High-A catchers, and his 63/80 BB/K ratio ranks third.

1B: Charlie Condon, Albuquerque Isotopes (Triple-A)
Rockies No. 2/MLB No. 64
.455/.478/1.045, 5 G, 10-for-22, 3 HR, 1 3B, 2 2B, 5 RBI, 7 R, 5 BB, 6 K, 1 CS

Condon has been on quite a tear in his past four series, reaching safely in all but one game and going deep 11 times during that stretch. The 2024 third overall pick delivered yet another two-homer game on Wednesday -- his second in three games and fourth overall of the season. And lest you think his power outburst is just a product of the hitter-friendly confines of Isotopes Park -- the Georgia product is second in the Pacific Coast League with a 1.017 OPS -- he's actually been slugging more on the road (13 homers, .319 ISO) than he is at home (7 homers, .293 ISO).

2B: Roc Riggio, Hartford Yard Goats (Double-A)
Rockies No. 10
.409/.567/.909, 6 G, 9-for-22, 3 HR, 2 2B, 4 RBI, 4 R, 8 BB, 4 K, 1 SB, 2 CS

Although he's only 5-foot-9, Riggio packs quite a bit of pop in his left-handed swing. More than half of his hits this year have gone for extra bases, and he ranks third among qualified Double-A second basemen with a .491 slugging percentage and second in isolated power (.245). Last week was perhaps his best offensive showing yet, with a pair of three-hit games to start the week that both included a roundtripper. The 2023 fourth-rounder previously made a Prospect Team of the Week exactly one year ago.

3B: Andrew Fischer, Biloxi Shuckers (Double-A)
Brewers No. 8
.350/.500/.950, 6 G, 7-for-20, 4 HR, 8 RBI, 11 R, 6 BB, 6 K, 1 CS

Some say that the largest jump in the Minor Leagues is from High-A to Double-A, but Fischer has hardly missed a beat since his promotion three weeks ago. The 2025 first-rounder is actually slugging even more, especially after going deep four times last series. That power is coming with quite a lot of swing-and-miss -- he's striking out 31.8 percent of the time at Double-A after doing so 33.3 percent of the time at High-A -- but he leads qualified full-season Minor Leaguers with a 1.150 OPS and is tied with Joshua Báez for the home run lead (28).

SS: Sammy Stafura, Greensboro Grasshoppers (High-A)
Pirates No. 10
.542/.500/1.167, 5 G, 13-for-24, 4 HR, 3 2B, 16 RBI, 11 R, 0 BB, 5 K, 2 SB

Stafura is starting to fulfill some of the potential the Reds saw in him when they drafted him 43rd overall in 2023. The New York prep star never quite found his footing last year after arriving in the Pirates org via the Ke'Bryan Hayes trade midseason, but he's hitting a robust .269/.376/.494 in 2026, including a .938 OPS at High-A. He's collected multiple hits in six straight games and had a stretch of four straight games going deep as well. And after swiping two more bases, he's a perfect 11-for-11 on steals.

OF: Alfonsin Rosario, Akron RubberDucks (Double-A)
Guardians No. 13
.480/.519/1.080, 6 G, 12-for-25, 3 HR, 2 3B, 2 2B, 7 RBI, 8 R, 2 BB, 4 K, 1 SB

It's been a good offensive year for Guardians prospects, and Rosario has been having one of the most impressive campaigns. He leads all qualified full-season players in the system with 38 extra-base hits and a .604 slugging percentage. Strikeouts remain an issue -- he has a 31.8 percent K rate -- so only whiffing four times last week was a big win. He's also picked up multiple hits in seven of his past 10 games, with 11 of his 18 knocks going for extra bases. This is his third Prospect Team of the Week honor after previously appearing on editions in June 2026 and July 2025.

OF: Zyhir Hope, Tulsa Drillers (Double-A)
Dodgers No. 3/MLB No. 19
.519/.563/.963, 6 G, 14-for-27, 3 HR, 3 2B, 13 RBI, 10 R, 4 BB, 3 K, 2 SB

Despite hitting .289/.363/.505 with a tooled-up profile, Hope has become the third-best prospect in Double-A Tulsa's lineup behind MLB's No. 4 prospect Josue De Paula and historic on-base machine Mike Sirota (MLB No. 11). Nonetheless, Hope showed why he remains one of the most dynamic prospects in the game as he went deep in three straight games and finished off the week with his third four-hit game of the season. He previously made a Prospect Team of the Week in April 2025.

OF: Austin Overn, Montgomery Biscuits (Double-A)
Rays No. 25
.421/.522/1.053, 5 G, 8-for-19, 3 HR, 1 3B, 1 2B, 5 RBI, 5 R, 4 BB, 5 K, 4 SB

After missing a month with a right oblique strain, Overn returned to show off the dynamic athleticism you'd expect from someone who also played wide receiver at Southern California. Batting leadoff, the left-handed hitter logged an extra-base hit in all five games, which helped raise his OPS to .984, second best among Rays Minor Leaguers with as many plate appearances as him. With four more successful steals, he has a 91.6 percent success rate this season, fifth-best among Minor Leaguers with at least 30 swipes.

LHP: Henry Lalane, Tampa Tarpons (Single-A)
Yankees No. 14
1-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 G, 1 GS, 7 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 11 K, 0.14 WHIP

Coming off seven scoreless innings with a career-high 12 strikeouts and one hit allowed, how does the 6-foot-7 southpaw fare? How about seven more scoreless innings with 11 K's and three hits allowed? Lalane picked up an absurd 23 whiffs, three more than the previous start. The Bronx native has increasingly leaned on his slider -- seven of his K's last start came on the pitch -- and opponents are hitting just .128 against the pitch with a 62.4 percent whiff rate.

RHP: David Hagaman, Hillsboro Hops (High-A)
D-backs No. 8
0-0, 0.00 ERA, 1 G, 1 GS, 7 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 9 K, 0.29 WHIP

Hagaman has performed excellently in his first full season with the D-backs since arriving in the Merrill Kelly deal last Trade Deadline. The club has been cautious with his innings, considering the 6-foot-4 hurler underwent internal brace surgery in May 2024, but his workload has been trending up lately. After tossing six scoreless innings the previous week, the 2024 fourth-rounder delivered a career-best start with nine K's across seven scoreless with just two hits allowed.

RP: Hancel Rincon, Memphis Redbirds (Triple-A)
Cardinals No. 27
0-0, 0.00 ERA, 3 G, 5 1/3 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 6 K, 0.00 WHIP

Redbirds teammate Luis Gastelum has made a Prospect Team of the Week twice in the past two months, but he's far from the only dominant reliever in that bullpen. Rincon has shown flashes of brilliance in his first season transitioning to relief. Across his past nine outings, he's given up just two earned runs in 16 1/3 innings with 21 strikeouts, culminating in his retiring all 16 batters he faced last week.
