CHICAGO – Prior to tonight’s game vs. Detroit, the Chicago White Sox recalled infielder Zach Remillard from Class AAA Charlotte and optioned infielder José Rodríguez to Charlotte.

Remillard, 29, batted .264/.315/.339 (32-121) with one home run, 16 RBI and 15 runs scored in 40 games in his first stint with the White Sox from June 15-August 22. He has played in 65 games with Charlotte, hitting .235/.342/.355 (55-234) with five homers, 28 RBI, 46 runs scored and 16 stolen bases.

Rodríguez, 22, was recalled from Class AA Birmingham yesterday, but did not play against the Tigers. He is hitting .264/.297/.450 (101-382) with 17 doubles, 18 home runs, 54 RBI, 63 runs scored and 28 stolen bases in 87 games this season with Birmingham.

The White Sox active roster remains at 28.
