Ballpark Pass FAQs

Your ticket for all games can be found in the MLB Ballpark app beginning 3 hours prior to each game. Download the MLB Ballpark app and select White Sox Pass in the Gameday Guide section of the app. Login with the email address you used to purchase the pass and your mobile phone number. This will provide you with a digital barcode that you can use to scan for admission into Guaranteed Rate Field.

Q: Which phones are supported?
A:
The White Sox Ballpark Pass is supported by iPhone and Android phones only. The
MLB Ballpark app must also be downloaded for use of the White Sox Ballpark Pass.

Note - iPhone requires iOS 11.0 and later. Android requires 5.0 and later

Q: Can I purchase the White Sox Ballpark Pass if I don't have a supported phone?
A: The White Sox Ballpark Pass is a mobile-only program integrated with the MLB Ballpark app and is only supported on iPhone and Android phones.

Q: Which games are included with my White Sox Ballpark Pass?
A: Your White Sox Ballpark Pass includes all 2019 White Sox regular season home games for the month purchased except for Opening Day (April 4), May 13, May 27, and the Crosstown Cup (July 6-7).  

Q: Does my White Sox Ballpark Pass give me an assigned seat?
A: Yes, the White Sox Ballpark Pass includes a seat located in the outfield reserved, lower corners, upper box, or upper reserved seating areas. Seat location will vary by game.

Q: How do I access my White Sox Ballpark Pass for entry to the ballpark?
A: You will receive a text message notification when your tickets are available. To access those tickets use the following steps:

  • Accept your ticket via text message
  • Tap Wallet in the bottom menu of the MLB Ballpark app
  • Tap the game you're attending and View to access the barcode

Q: When can I access my White Sox Ballpark Pass?
A: Approximately 3 hours before first pitch you will receive a text message to activate your White Sox Ballpark Pass.

Q: Where do White Sox Ballpark Pass holders enter the ballpark?
A: White Sox Ballpark Pass holders can enter the ballpark via any main gate.

Q: Can I upgrade my White Sox Ballpark Pass to a specific seat?
A: Subject to availability, seat upgrades will be offered and can be purchased for an additional fee within the MLB Ballpark app via the Upgrades icon.

Q: Can I print my White Sox Ballpark Pass mobile ticket?
A: The White Sox Ballpark Pass is a mobile-only program integrated with the MLB Ballpark app. Tickets cannot be printed.

Q: How do I renew my White Sox Ballpark Pass for the next month?
A: The White Sox Ballpark Pass auto-renews each month to the card you used at the time of your primary purchase for the 2019 regular season. You will be charged $49.99 on the 3rd Tuesday of each month through August 2019. Charges will be processed as follows:

  • At time of purchase - April Pass
  • April 16 - May Pass
  • May 21 - June Pass
  • June 18 - July Pass
  • July 16 - August Pass
  • August 20 - September Pass

Q: How do I cancel my White Sox Ballpark Pass?
A: You may opt-out of your monthly subscription of the White Sox Ballpark Pass by emailing ballparkpass@chisox.com by the following dates for cancellation to take effect on the last day of that month:

  • Cancel May Pass by April 12
  • Cancel June Pass by May 17
  • Cancel July Pass by June 14
  • Cancel August Pass by July 12
  • Cancel September Pass by August 16

Any cancellation request made after the date above will be effective the last day of the next calendar month. 

Q: Is the White Sox Ballpark Pass refundable?
A: White Sox Ballpark Pass purchases are non-refundable.

Q: Can I sell my White Sox Ballpark Pass for games that I do not attend?
A: The White Sox Ballpark Pass is non-transferable.

Q: Can I share my White Sox Ballpark Pass with someone else?
A: The White Sox Ballpark Pass is non-transferable and must be managed on the smartphone of the person who purchased the pass.

Q: What happens if a game is rained out?
A: The rain cancellation policy for the White Sox Ballpark Pass is the same as the policy for a regular ticket. If the game is postponed and rescheduled on a date that did not have a previously scheduled game or is rescheduled to become a part of a split double header, your Passes are valid for the rescheduled game.
