On Wednesday morning, the 2026 All-Star Futures Game rosters were announced. And could you really have a contest that puts the future of the sport on display without Jesús Made, MLB’s No. 1 prospect?
The Brewers’ 19-year-old wunderkind celebrated his second consecutive nomination by adding a pair of hits to the two he collected Tuesday for Double-A Biloxi during a suspended contest that turned out to be a 14-9 loss to Chattanooga at Keesler Federal Park. It marked his second four-hit game of the season and his first since April 5.
On each of his first two knocks -- singles to center field -- Made set the stage for Andrew Fischer (MIL No. 8), who clobbered a pair of two-out two-run homers. Back at it a day later, Made took the first pitch he saw from right-hander Cody Adcock (Reds) in the fifth and one-hopped it over the center-field wall for a ground-rule double. He turned around to bat righty in the seventh vs. southpaw Steffon Moore and again knocked the first pitch he saw for a hit.

Over the past 13 games, the Brewers’ No. 1 prospect has delivered seven multihit performances. He collected seven extra-base hits in that span, which puts him in the top five in the Double-A Southern League in hits (80, second), RBIs (52, third) and total bases (124, fourth) this season.
Made is coming off the fifth month of his career in which he hit above .300. The fact that he’s not only found his level, but consistently succeeded on the pitcher-friendly circuit, is a testament to his well-rounded offensive skill set.
Even as the youngest hitter at Double-A, he’s managed to cut his strikeout rate down to 15.1 percent, a significant dip from the 20.6 percent rate he ran in 2025. He’s swinging and missing less than he ever has at just an 8.3 percent clip, which has enabled his top-tier bat speed and significant exit velocities (110.7 mph max EV during Cactus League action) to aid him in finding hits.
COMPLETE BREWERS PROSPECT COVERAGE
It’s been a banner year for Made, who rose to top overall prospect status following Konnor Griffin’s graduation back in May. He’s hit home runs to the parking lot. He’s ripped off an impressive RBI streak. He survived an injury scare, just to dominate immediately upon his return.
During last year’s Futures Game, Made went 1-for-3 with a walk and scored a run in the NL’s 4-2 victory. He started that game at second base -- in deference to Griffin. While he moved around the infield a bit more last year with starts at second and third base, all 62 defensive starts that the Dominican Republic native has made this season have come at shortstop.
No matter where he takes the field, it will be a showcase of the Brewers’ future as Luis Peña (MIL No. 2/MLB No. 18) will join his friend on the roster. Milwaukee is one of four clubs to have six or more members of the newly updated Top 100 Prospects list. But as he’s done for nearly all of his pro journey, Made has continued to separate himself as a cut above.
