While 2025 No. 3 overall Draft pick Kade Anderson continues to dominate for Double-A Arkansas, the second player the Mariners took in last year’s Draft has been making plenty of noise in his own right.
Luke Stevenson (Seattle’s No. 8 prospect) had another big night at the plate on Thursday for High-A Everett against Tri-City, going 3-for-6 with three doubles and a career-high six RBIs in the AquaSox’s 10-5 win at Everett Memorial Stadium.
The 35th overall pick in the 2025 Draft, Stevenson impressed in a brief stint with Single-A Modesto last season, reaching base at a .460 clip over 100 plate appearances.
COMPLETE MARINERS PROSPECT COVERAGE
Stevenson’s upside was one of the reasons the Mariners felt comfortable trading fellow catching prospect Harry Ford to the Nationals in a December deal for lefty reliever José A. Ferrer. The move has paid off so far, with Ferrer posting a 1.90 ERA over 25 appearances for Seattle this season.
Meanwhile, Stevenson has continued to produce at a high level on the farm. He owns a .438 on-base percentage over 146 plate appearances this season, second best in the Northwest League behind teammate Felnin Celesten (Seattle’s No. 7 prospect).
Celesten went 1-for-2 with a walk on Thursday to extended his hitting streak to 25 games. He’s batting .348 with a .456 OBP through 38 games in 2026.
