José E. Feliciano

José E. Feliciano is an investor, business leader and philanthropist who serves as a Principal Owner of the San Diego Padres. Together with his wife and business partner, Kwanza Jones, Feliciano jointly leads the Padres ownership group, bringing more than two decades of experience building and investing in businesses and a long-term approach grounded in disciplined investment, operational excellence and growth. He is Co-Founder and Managing Partner of Clearlake Capital Group, a global investment firm, and Co-Founder of the Kwanza Jones & José E. Feliciano Initiative, the private family office he and Jones established in 2014.
Feliciano and Jones serve as Principal Owners and jointly lead the ownership group of the San Diego Padres. Feliciano also serves as the Club’s designated Control Person in accordance with Major League Baseball governance requirements. Throughout his career, Feliciano has partnered with management teams and entrepreneurs to build enduring businesses through long-term investment, operational improvement and disciplined growth. He brings that same long-term orientation to the stewardship of the Padres.
Beyond the Padres, Feliciano is a co-controlling owner of Chelsea F.C. of the English Premier League. Feliciano and Jones are also minority investors in the Minnesota Timberwolves and have invested across the sports ecosystem through Dyal HomeCourt Partners, Arctos Sports Partners, Monarch Collective and Project Level. Their investments span professional sports ownership, sports-focused investment platforms and the continued growth of women’s sports.
As a Principal Owner of the Padres, Feliciano is committed to building on the franchise’s strong foundation, creating an enduring organization that consistently competes for championships, and pursuing the ultimate goal of bringing a World Series championship to San Diego. He and Jones share a commitment to the Padres’ fans and to strengthening the Club’s role as a cornerstone of the San Diego community.
Feliciano is actively engaged in civic and philanthropic organizations. He serves on the board of the LA28 Olympic and Paralympic Games and Cedars-Sinai and has served as a Trustee of Stanford University. Through the Kwanza Jones & José E. Feliciano Initiative, he and Jones support organizations and programs focused on expanding opportunity, inclusion and community investment.
Feliciano earned a B.S. from Princeton University and an M.B.A. from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
