Sara Greenspan
Senior Vice President, People & Culture
Sara Greenspan was promoted to her current position of Senior Vice President, People & Culture in February 2021. She originally joined the Padres as Director of Human Resources in May 2012. 2021 marks her 10th season as the head of human resources for the Padres.
Greenspan is responsible for developing and implementing the overall human capital strategy, including organizational and leadership development, culture development, talent acquisition, DE&I initiatives, compensation, benefits, risk management, payroll and labor relations. Greenspan brings 20 plus years of human resources experience to her role. She has held leadership roles at large organizations such as Pepsi Bottling Group, Kyocera America, and Yum Brands! -KFC.
Greenspan serves on the Executive Committee of the Board of Directors of Boys and Girls Club of Greater San Diego and as an advisor on the USD Employer Advisory Board. She holds a bachelorās degree from Northeastern University in Boston, MA, a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and SHRM-SCP certification, a certificate of human resources from U.C. San Diego, and a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from SDSU. Greenspan and her husband, Mike, reside in Scripps Ranch with their three children: Gavin, Amelia and Stella.
