What’s Happening This Week: Phillies vs. Yankees, July 29-31
Ceremonial first pitches from Flyers’ Matvei Michkov, Union’s Cavan Sullivan, and former Phillie Hunter Pence; Plus, Nemours Children’s Health Kids Run the Bases; Also, public transportation encouraged for Wednesday’s Sports Complex events
Come cheer on the Phils as they take on the New York Yankees for a three-game series at Citizens Bank Park, from Monday, July 29, to Wednesday, July 31. Here’s a look at some of the fan highlights, as the Phillies close out the homestand:
1. The series kicks off on Monday, July 29, at 6:40 p.m. Before the game, Philadelphia Flyers rookie forward Matvei Michkov will deliver a ceremonial first pitch.
- SSG Dambou Siaka will change a base at the end of the 3rd inning as he is honored as that night’s Rothman Hometown Hero.
- All fans will receive a Phillies Topps Baseball Card pack commemorating Topps Global Trading Card Day.
2. The Phils take on the Yankees at 6:40 p.m. on Tuesday, July 30. Philadelphia Union midfielder Cavan Sullivan will throw a ceremonial first pitch before that night’s game.
- Before the game, Anheuser-Busch and Penn Beer will present a check to Folds of Honor, an organization that provides scholarships to the spouses and children of America’s fallen or disabled military members.
3. The series concludes on Wednesday, July 31, at 12:35 p.m. After the game, children 14 and under are invited on the field as part of Nemours Children’s Health Kids Run the Bases! Also, fans are encouraged to take public transportation due to multiple events in the Sports Complex.
- Fans traveling home after Wednesday’s game should be aware that there is a soccer event in the Sports Complex (7:30 p.m., Liverpool vs. Arsenal) that may impact travel time home after the game. In addition, parking lots K, J and L will be closed for fans arriving to the Phillies game. Fans should allow for extra time when traveling home; public transportation is strongly encouraged. - As part of the day’s 20th Anniversary of Citizens Bank Park celebration, former Phillies outfielder Hunter Pence will throw a ceremonial first pitch. Click here for more information.
- WWII veteran Tim Kiniry, 102, will change a base at the end of the 3rd inning as he is honored as that day’s Rothman Hometown Hero.
4. For this series only, Tony Sopranos of Somerdale, N.J. is offering its Boneless Wings at Coca-Cola Corner (left field).
- Paired with 18.5-ounce Gold Peak Tea for $20.98. Served in mild buffalo or honey BBQ sauce, with bleu cheese dressing and celery sticks.

- Gate Openings: 5:10 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday; 11:05 a.m. on Wednesday.
- NEW Phillies Live Audio: Fans in attendance at Citizens Bank Park can enjoy the Phillies radio broadcast in real time. Using the MLB Ballpark app, navigate to the “Phillies Live Audio” tile and follow the instructions.
- Go-Ahead Entry: Enroll on the MLB Ballpark app for a free-flow ballpark entry experience that allows ticket holders the ability to enter the ballpark at full walking speed without stopping. Go-Ahead Entry lanes are located at the First Base, Third Base and Left Field Gates.

- Broadcast: All three games will be broadcast on NBSCP (available to stream on nbcsportsphiladelphia.com and the NBC Sports App). Tuesday’s game will also be available on TBS. Monday and Wednesday’s games will be broadcast on MLB Network, out-of-market only. All games will also be broadcast on 94 WIP and WTTM 1680.
- Mobile Ordering: Includes Manco & Manco @ Foundry Pizza, Miller Lite Liberty Landing, Pass and Stow and Shake Shack. Order your favorite menu items and skip the line when ordering through the MLB Ballpark app.
- Bag Policy: In an effort to expedite entry, guests are prohibited from bringing non-clear bags, including backpacks and drawstring bags, into the ballpark. Only clutch purses and/or fanny packs (no larger than 5" x 7"), clear bags (no larger than 12" x 6" x 12"), medical bags and diaper bags will be permitted into Citizens Bank Park. All bags will be subject to inspection upon entry in accordance with Major League Baseball security regulations.
- Uber RideShare Lot: Lot T is designated for Uber RideShare for all Citizens Bank Park and Wells Fargo Center events. Fans should exit the Third Base Gate and walk along Pattison Avenue toward Broad Street to enter the lot and request a vehicle, which will meet each rider in the designated area.
- Parking: Please click here for a parking map. Parking for Phillies games is cashless. Methods of payment include credit/debit cards and mobile payment (Apple Pay, Google Pay). To expedite entry, pre-paid parking passes may also be purchased prior to the game.
