Gage was selected by the Cubs during the MLB Phase of the 2024 Rule 5 draft from the Detroit Tigers...Has played in 472 career Minor League games across four seasons in the Detroit organization, batting .248 (438-for-1,765) with 111 doubles, 24 triples, 57 home runs, 263 RBI and a .762 OPS...Was named a 2024 Eastern League Post-Season All-Star...Has been named Player of the Week three times (May 23, 2021 - Florida State League; Aug. 29, 2021 - Midwest League; Eastern League - April 16, 2023) and Player of the Month once (Aug. 2024 - Eastern League)...Has hit at least 10 home runs in all four of his Minor League seasons...Played for Salt River in the Arizona Fall League following the 2022 season, appearing in 24 games...Was selected by the Tigers in the fourth round of the 2020 draft out of Arizona State...Graduated from Basha High School in Chandler, Ariz.

2024

Gage in 2024 set career-best marks in games played (126), average (.280), hits (135), home runs (18), RBI (89), OBP (.366), SLG (.476) and OPS (.843) in 126 games with Double-A Erie...His 89 RBI led all Tigers Minor Leaguers, while he was tied for the organizational lead in doubles, second in runs (85), third in OPS and tied for third in home runs...Hit three home runs and recorded seven RBI in a 19-1 win over New Hampshire on Aug. 11...Was named the Eastern League Player of the Month in August after batting .308 (32-for-104) with five doubles, one triple, seven home runs, and 22 RBI in 25 games...Tallied a season-high 11-game hitting streak from Aug. 28- Sept. 11, batting .413 (19-for-46) with two doubles, three home runs and 14 RBI during the run...Following the campaign was named to the Eastern League Post-Season All-Star team.

2023

Split the 2023 season between High-A West Michigan and Erie, appearing in a combined 100 games, batting .239 (85-for-355) with 15 doubles, three triples, 13 home runs and 48 RBI...Was named the Eastern League Player of the Week on April 16, after he went 4-for-4 with a triple, two home runs and three RBI vs. Altoona on April 12...Tallied his second multi-homer effort of the season June 4 at Richmond...Homered in three-straight games from Sept. 1-3, as part of a six-game hitting streak from Aug. 29-Sept. 3.

2022

In 2022, spent the entire season with Erie, batting .225 (107- for-475) with 30 doubles, nine triples, 14 home runs, 68 RBI and 30 stolen bases in 128 games...Following the campaign, played in 24 games for Salt River in the Arizona Fall League, batting .193 (11-for-57) with one double, two triples, two home runs and nine RBI.

2021

Made his professional debut in 2021, playing in a combined 118 games for Single-A Lakeland and West Michigan, batting .246 (111-for-452) with 37 doubles, six triples, 12 home runs, 58 RBI, 31 stolen bases and a .760 OPS...Was named the Florida State League Player of the Week May 23, after he went 10-for-26 (.385) with three doubles, one triple, two home runs, six RBI and a 1.323 OPS in six games during the week...Was promoted to West Michigan July 5...Earned Midwest League Player of the Week honors Aug. 29, after hitting .350 (7-for-20) with two home runs and six RBI in five games from Aug. 25-29.
