PLAY BALL Weekend

PLAY BALL Weekend will be held June 5-7, 2026, celebrating the game of baseball everywhere and in every form! The Red Sox and Major League Baseball encourage every child and adult to get out there and play ball, whether that's a game of catch, setting up a tee, or getting to a Little League game! Join us in celebrating the game we all love!

The Red Sox are taking over recess. This recess will have different stations for kids to learn and improve their baseball/softball skills while participating in various drills.

This event will include:

• PLAY BALL stations
• Visit from Red Sox mascot Wally the Green Monster
• PLAY BALL bat and ball set and T-shirt giveaways
• Live DJ

The Red Sox are joining the Special Olympics Boston Public School Unified Game Day for a morning of fun and engaging baseball/softball activities. Kids will learn and improve their baseball/softball skills through different station-based drills.

This event will include:

• PLAY BALL stations
• Visit from Red Sox mascot Wally the Green Monster
• PLAY BALL bat and ball sets and T-shirt giveaways

The Miracle League of Massachusetts is a non-profit, all-volunteer, organization that gives children with disabilities a chance to play baseball as part of an organized league at no cost.

This event will include:

• Celebration of Miracle League's final games of the season
• Red Sox mascots Wally and Tessie to attend and play
• Live DJ
• PLAY BALL bat and ball sets and T-shirt giveaways
