McBride, Scahill join Rockies in Atlanta

ATLANTA -- As expected, utility player Matt McBride and right-hander Rob Scahill joined the Rockies on Wednesday after manager Jim Tracy announced that the pair would be called up from Triple-A Colorado Springs this week.

McBride was activated before Wednesday's game; Scahill will be officially activated on Thursday.

Tracy said that because Scahill threw 80 pitches in five innings for Colorado Springs in Monday's season finale, he would have been unavailable to pitch on Wednesday.
