Part-time: Mascot Assistant/Operations Staff, Promotions/Special Events

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will assist in all duties of the Colorado Rockies Mascot Program, and assist the Promotions/Special Events department with numerous game related activities as well as the many non-game day events produced by the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club. This position is physical in nature with time requirements on nights, weekends and holidays. Employment will typically begin in early March and end sometime in October.

Duties will include:

  • Assist our Mascot, Dinger, with guest interaction during Rockies' home games and Dinger appearances out in the community
  • Perform, when needed, as Dinger, and Comfort Dental Characters
  • Support pregame activities on-field including: National Anthem, color guards, first pitch, group salutes and other special guests
  • Assist with set-up, maintenance, and financial aspects of the kids Interactive Area
  • Assist with sponsored programs and inning features
  • Support in-stadium promotions
  • Assistance required for game day special events including: Opening Day, Opening Day Fest, Faith Day and other concerts, Fireworks, Fantasy Camp Reunion, Photo Day, Military Appreciation Day, among other events
  • Assistance required with non-game day special events including: Youth Clinics, Client BP, 5k Home Run for the Homeless, charity golf tournament, among other events

 

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mascot performing experience of at least 1 year at Collegiate or Minor League level.
  • Costume height requirement between 5'10" and 6'2"
  • Work schedule driven by but not limited to Colorado Rockies home schedule
  • Typical shift of this position is approximately 6+ hours with several shifts exceeding 12+ hours
  • Must be able to perform in extreme heat and with limited vision
  • Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills
  • The ability to adapt to changes in schedule or tasks
  • Commitment to work 75+ home games and 90% of special events

Part-time: Spring Training Mascot Performer

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will perform as mascot of the Colorado Rockies during 2018 Spring Training. This position is physical in nature with time requirements aligning with the 2018 Colorado Rockies Spring Training schedule. Employment will typically begin in late February and end sometime in March. Duties will include:

  • Perform as Colorado Rockies mascot at most to all home Spring Training games
  • Support pregame activities on-field including: National Anthem, color guards, first pitch, group salutes and other special guests
  • Keep a high level of professionalism
  • Assist with sponsored programs and inning features
  • Support in-stadium promotions
  • Report to mascot coordinator in Denver, as well as in-game entertainment at Salt River Fields  

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mascot performing experience of at least one year at Collegiate or Minor League level preferred

Part-time: Promotions/Special Events - Game Day & Non-Game Day Operations Staff

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

This position will assist the Promotions/Special Events department with numerous game related activities, as well as the many non-game day events produced by the Colorado Rockies Baseball Club. This position is physical in nature and often requires availability on nights, weekends and holidays. Majority of employment will begin in early March and end sometime in October. This position is not an internship position.

Duties will include:

  • Support pregame activities on-field including: National Anthem, color guards, first pitch, group salutes and other special guests
  • Assist with set-up, maintenance, and financial aspects of the kids Interactive Area
  • Assist with sponsored programs and inning features including: Jr. Starting Line-up, Junior Broadcaster, Season Ticket Holder of the Game, Grounds Crew Challenge, among other features
  • Occasionally required to be in costume for Mascot Race and select events
  • Support in-stadium promotions including: Set-up and distribution of promotional product to gates, coordination of volunteer groups and gate break down
  • Assist with all aspects of The Rooftop including: opening/closing of space on game days, set-up/break down of all events associated with space, and upkeep of the aesthetics of space
  • Assistance required for game day special events including: Opening Day, Opening Day Fest, Faith Day and other concerts, Fireworks, Fantasy Camp Reunion, Photo Day, Military Appreciation Day, among other events

Part-time: Tour Guide

The Colorado Rockies Baseball Club has a part-time position available for a Tour Guide. Work schedule will vary from 8 - 20 hours per week with occasional weekend and evening requirements.    

We are seeking an individual with a professional demeanor that is engaging, outgoing and possesses excellent presentation and public speaking skills. The position involves giving a one mile tour up to four times per day at Coors Field utilizing information from a prepared script. Account Representative, Inside Sales

PRIMARY PURPOSE:

  • Handle all incoming sales calls for new season tickets, mini-plans, group tickets, suites and party facilities.
  • Capitalize on upselling opportunities.
  • Track all calls and provide thorough follow up with each lead.
  • Make outbound calls to individual ticket buyers.
  • Provide excellent customer service to clients.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Sell the benefits of using the various Coors Field options for personal use, client entertainment and employee functions
  • Know ALL entertainment options at the ballpark and ALL ticket policies
  • Adequately answer all customer questions and listen closely to what each individual has to say
  • Assist customer with all needs throughout the sales process
  • Understand the nuances of the facility, e.g., section configurations, obstructed seating, access points, points of interest, and parking information

Customer Service Representative, Inside & Outbound Sales

PRIMARY PURPOSE: 

  • Assist Inside & Outbound Sales Department with day-to-day operations
  • Support sales staff in ticket processing, distribution and finances
  • Work closely with Account Executives in an effort to reach/surpass revenue budget goal 

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Print and coordinate tickets for all outbound/inside sales (group tickets, etc.)
  • Create invoices and receipts for clientele when necessary
  • Process returns and past exchange tickets for OBS groups
  • Run and distribute balance due reports
  • Assist with ticket orders for special group sales (Faith Day, etc.)

Dugout Store Manager - Aurora

This is a full-time, benefit eligible position that is responsible for all operations of an individual team owned retail outlet as follows:

  • Conduct the daily operations of the store including depositing of daily receipts, credit card reconciliation, merchandise stocking, customer service and assistance.
  • Conduct daily individual game day ticket sales and Season Ticket exchange.
  • Responsible for ordering and maintaining an acceptable level of physical inventory and managing merchandise loss prevention.
  • Train, motivate and supervise part-time store staff.
  • Working knowledge of point of purchase and ticketing systems.
  • Responsible for overall store presentation and weekly merchandise displays.
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date stock room.
  • Responsible for the maintenance, cleanliness and appearance of the store.

Engineer - Electrician (Full-Time)

This position performs Journeyman level work in the installation, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical, fire alarm, communication and video systems in compliance with all regulatory agencies. This is a regular status, full-time position eligible for all company benefits.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for installation, maintenance and repair of all electrical and related systems. The maintenance work includes doing preventive maintenance on the building's electrical and related systems. Remain in compliance with current electrical codes.

  • Work is assigned by means of verbal or written orders and is carried out by the position in accordance with standard practices of the electrical trade. Work is subject to inspection while in progress and upon completion.

  • Utilize blueprints, wiring diagrams and manufacturer's installation manuals to complete assigned projects. Also able to survey electrical systems, circuits and plans.

  • Expected to exercise independent judgment in times of immediate need or emergency situations.

  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment problems and determine and execute solutions.

  • Assists in other work areas in the department or ballpark as needed or directed by the Director of Engineering. Duties are not specifically limited to the identified areas listed above.

  • Must be able to work flexible work hours due to Club's non-traditional work schedule. Advance notice will be given for schedule changes whenever possible.

  • Game day responsibilities are shared with electrical staff.

  • Oversee contracted electrical work occurring at the ballpark.

Full Stack Developer - Baseball Research and Development

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Colorado Rockies are currently seeking a full-time Full Stack Developer within the Baseball Research and Development Department. This individual will be a member of the Baseball Research and Development team and will assist in the continued development of the Rockies' proprietary Web Application along with the maintenance and development of proprietary databases and APIs. This position requires strong development skills and experience as well as a demonstrated ability for independent curiosity and a commitment to excellence while working within a team.

 

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

UI/UX Design

  • Develop intuitive, easy to use interfaces and experiences for various applications and non-technical users.
  • Design for multiple form factors including but not limited to iPhone, iPad, Chrome, Safari, desktop, laptop, and large television size screens.
  • Design highly custom, easy to understand reports that showcase data and statistics in a creative and effective way for a variety of different users and use cases.
  • Create a design standard and style for all of our internal applications, reports and tools.

 

Web Development and API Integration

  • Maintain and contribute to various Colorado Rockies internal web applications.
  • Utilize data visualization libraries to create interactive charts and graphs.
  • Integrate with third party and internal APIs to retrieve and display data.
  • Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.

 

Database Administration

  • Maintain and update an internal data warehouse to support reporting and analytics.
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose data issues within the data warehouse.
  • Design and implement necessary schema changes or additions.
  • Monitor multiple database environments including development, staging and production systems.
  • Provide documentation and reporting on the status of the data warehouse.

 

API Development

JOB REQUIREMENTS:                 

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor's degree or completion of immersive technical program in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, Web Development or related field preferred.
  • Web development experience using HTML 5, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Experience using a Model-View-Controller (MVC) framework such as Angular.io, Reacts.js or Ember.js. Understand the separation of concerns that an MVC framework provides.
  • Experience collaborating on code with the use of source control such as Git.
