Grew up in San Antonio, Texas...played college baseball at Texas Tech University...as a redshirt freshman, was named the Big 12 Conference Baseball Player of the Year after batting .337 with 21 home runs and 67 RBI...was selected 12th overall by the Detroit Tigers in the 2022 First-Year Player Draft.

2024

Made his Major League debut on Aug. 16 against New York (AL), going 0-for-2 with two walks...Had three multi-hit efforts over his first 10 games, including two hits in his second MLB game...On Toledo’s injured list from June 20-July 9…had his contract selected on Aug. 16...Hit .257 (87-for-339) with 23 doubles and 14 home runs in 91 games with Triple-A Toledo...drew 67 walks for an OBP of .377.

2023

Combined to appear in 128 games between Single A West Michigan and Double A Erie in 2023...Won a Rawlings Gold Glove Award for Minor League second basemen, posting a .993 fielding percentage with just three errors over 109 games while turning 62 double plays...Named a Baseball America High Class A All-Star and a Tigers Organization All-Star by MiLB.com...also was tabbed a Midwest League Postseason All-Star...Named Midwest League Player of the Week for the week ending June 4, going 13-for-23 with three doubles, two home runs and 10 RBI in six games...Posted a multi-homer performance in back-to-back games on Sept. 5-6 at Somerset, driving in eight runs...Recorded a hit in all four games with Erie during the Eastern League playoffs, going 4-for14 with a RBI...Played in 15 games for Salt River in the Arizona Fall League, hitting .200/.385/.300 with two doubles, a home run and eight RBI...selected to play in the AFL Rising Stars game...Ranked as the No. 4 prospect in the Tigers organization and the No. 81 prospect in baseball by Baseball America following the season.
