White Sox Probable Pitchers

Plesac was stellar last time out, tossing seven scoreless frames against the Tigers while permitting just three hits with no walks and six strikeouts. In five career starts against the White Sox, Plesac has pitched to a 3.03 ERA and a 0.918 WHIP.

Rodón was scheduled to make his regular start in Monday’s series opener against Cleveland, but he was scratched due to a stomach issue and replaced by Dallas Keuchel. Barring a setback, Rodón will take the mound on Wednesday.

Civale looks to keep his win streak alive on Thursday. The right-hander has made two starts this season -- both against the Tigers -- and secured two wins. He owns a 2.45 ERA in 14 2/3 innings with three walks and 12 strikeouts.

The right-hander was truly dominant in his home opener shutout against the Royals on April 8. Lynn struck out 11 over 111 pitches without issuing a walk, recording his fourth career complete game and second shutout.

Cease has made two starts and thrown exactly 4 2/3 innings in each one. He has allowed four runs while striking out nine, though he has walked six and thrown 182 pitches between those two outings.

By winning his last start, Pivetta became the first Red Sox starter since Tim Wakefield in 1995 to win his first four starts with the club. Pivetta pitched well against the White Sox in two relief appearances in 2019, but this will be his first career start against them.

It wasn’t until 5 p.m. CT on Monday when Keuchel, who was scheduled to take the mound on Wednesday, knew he would be starting in place of Carlos Rodón. The left-hander worked five-plus innings, giving the White Sox a chance to win the game in the ninth.

Houck will be called up from the Red Sox's alternate training site to start the opener of Sunday's doubleheader. Houck allowed three runs (two earned) over five innings in his lone start this season on April 3 against the Orioles.

The lefty has done his job so far this season and kept the team in both games he has pitched. Pérez is 2-5 in 11 career starts at Fenway but still hasn't won there as a member of the Red Sox.
