Play Ball Weekend

The Houston Astros, Astros Foundation and Astros Youth Academy have joined Major League Baseball to celebrate youth baseball and softball with their Play Ball Weekend June 5th – 7th. Events will be invitation only. On Friday, June 5th beginning at 9:30 a.m., the Youth Academy Staff will incorporate MLB Play Ball activities into the Astros Youth Academy Summer Camp. On Saturday evening, June 6th youth from the Astros Youth Academy will be invited to attend the Houston Astros vs. A’s baseball game at Daikin Park. On Sunday morning from 9:00 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., the Astros Foundation and Astros Youth Academy staff will create a fun day of recreational activities and baseball with kids from Special Olympics Texas for a special Play Ball Clinic at Daikin Park. Sunday’s event will be the fourth year that Special Olympics Texas has been a special guest, exhibiting that all kids can enjoy the game of baseball.
