HOUSTON, TX -- Volunteers from the Astros Foundation will join more than 4,000 volunteers from the 4B Disaster Response Network and Eight Days of Hope to aid in their Hurricane Harvey recovery efforts throughout the Houston area, March 10-24. The Astros Foundation will fund meals for volunteers, provide uniforms and equipment to Dickinson Little League and volunteer to refurbish Dickinson Little League ballfields and complexes throughout the 15-day volunteer period.

The 4B Disaster Response Network (4B DRN) exists to mobilize a network of churches to reflect the gospel of Jesus Christ by serving people affected by disaster in the 4B area (from the Beltway to the Beach and the Bay to Brazoria County). Following Hurricane Harvey in August 2017 local churches went to work serving our community with the immediate rescue and relief efforts. As the extent of damage was assessed, churches came together to formulate a long-term recovery plan that would best serve our community on the long road to recovery. The 4B Disaster Response Network formed to respond to the immediate needs relating to Hurricane Harvey and to prepare for future disasters that might affect our community.
