ABOUT THE ASTROS FOUNDATION:
The Astros Foundation, the official 501(c)(3) team charity of the Houston Astros, seeks to harness the passion of baseball fans to support youth baseball and softball programs, the recognition and honor of our nation's military, childhood cancer awareness and efforts to reduce homelessness. Its cornerstone initiatives include the Community Leaders program, the Astros Youth Academy and the Astros RBI (Reviving Baseball in Inner Cities) program.
ABOUT THE 4B DISASTER RESPONSE NETWORK:
The 4B Disaster Response Network (4B DRN) exists to mobilize a network of churches to reflect the gospel of Jesus Christ by serving people affected by disaster in the 4B area (from the Beltway to the Beach and the Bay to Brazoria County). Following Hurricane Harvey in August 2017 local churches went to work serving our community with the immediate rescue and relief efforts. As the extent of damage was assessed, churches came together to formulate a long-term recovery plan that would best serve our community on the long road to recovery. The 4B Disaster Response Network formed to respond to the immediate needs relating to Hurricane Harvey and to prepare for future disasters that might affect our community.
ABOUT EIGHT DAYS OF HOPE:
Eight Days of Hope is a Christian, non-profit organization that is both evangelical and non-denominational. We exist to demonstrate the love and hope of Jesus Christ by serving those in need. Our commitment to local communities is to work with local churches and organizations in meeting physical and spiritual needs. Our commitment to donors is to use the resources they have given to the fullest potential for the greatest good among those in need. Our commitment to volunteers is to provide them an opportunity to use their skills and talents to the Glory of God.
