Astros finish off regular season with six-game homestand, Sept. 28-Oct. 3

Highlights of the homestand include bobblehead and white jersey giveaways; Fan Appreciation Day

HOUSTON, Texas – The Houston Astros return to Minute Maid Park for their final homestand of the regular season, looking to clinch their fourth American League West title in five seasons as they host the 2021 American League East champion Tampa Bay Rays, Sept. 28-30 and AL West rival Oakland A’s, Oct. 1-3.

Highlights of the six-game homestand include two opportunities for an Alex Bregman Replica White Jersey, presented by H-E-B, a Carlos Correa HR Scream Bobblehead, presented by Chevron, a Replica Phillips 66 Home Run Pump, presented by Phillips 66, a Yuli Gurriel Hair Bobblehead, presented by Tecon and Fan Appreciation Day.

The Astros open up their final homestand of the season on Tuesday, Sept. 28 at 7:10 p.m. vs. the Rays. It is Dollar Dog Night, presented by Nolan Ryan Beef, with one-dollar hot dogs all game long.

The Astros will host a blood drive with Houston Methodist from 5:30 pm to 7 pm at Union Station, second floor. All donors will receive a free Astros t-shirt.

A pregame check presentation will take place to award funds to local childhood cancer organizations as part of the proceeds that were raised at the annual Astros Foundation and AT&T SportsNet Charity Game held on September 10. This event raised over $400,000.

As part of Brain Aneurysm Awareness Month, 16-year-old Luc Wehby will throw out a ceremonial first pitch on behalf of the Joe Niekro Foundation. Four years ago, Luc, a Kingwood, Texas native, suffered a massive stroke from a large brain bleed/aneurysm. Despite doctors’ worries that he may never walk or talk again, Luc is now a member of his high school golf team, working on his one-armed swing.

Members of the Astros Foundation Run for a Reason team, participating in the 2022 Chevron Houston Marathon, Aramco Half Marathon and We are Houston 5K will be recognized prior to the game.

Wednesday, Sept. 29 vs. Tampa Bay Rays – 7:10 p.m. CT

It is also Houston Open Night at Minute Maid Park, as the Astros celebrate the upcoming 2021 Houston Open PGA tournament set for Nov. 11-14 at Memorial Park. Volunteers of the tournament will be recognized, including a special ceremonial first pitch.

Friday, Oct. 1 vs. Oakland A’s – 7:10 p.m. CT

On Friday, the Astros Foundation is hosting the Safe at Home Luncheon and Style Show presented by BlueCross BlueShield of Texas. The event will include lunch inside historic Union Station and a style show by Tootsies featuring Astros wives. Proceeds benefit the Astros Foundation and its domestic violence awareness efforts.

Saturday, Oct. 2 vs. Oakland A’s – 6:10 p.m. CT

of the series against the A’s is set for 6:10 p.m. on Saturday. 10,000 fans receive an Alex Bregman Replica White Jersey, presented by H-E-B.

Prior to Saturday’s game, the Astros Foundation will recognize the recipients of the Jamie Hildreth Memorial Scholarship. This scholarship is given annually to a student attending University of Houston for broadcasting.

October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

The Astros Foundation will recognize Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Activities include a large purple ribbon displayed from the Phillips 66 Home Run Pump during pregame ceremonies and hosting and recognizing Texas Council on Family Violence and Region 7 agencies, who serve the greater Houston area.

Earlier on Saturday, the Astros Foundation will host the Texas Council on Family Violence at Minute Maid Park to share the TCFV’s annual comprehensive “Honoring Texas Victims” report on domestic violence.

Sunday, Oct. 3 vs. Oakland A’s – 2:10 p.m. CT

on Sunday vs. the A’s at 2:10 p.m. The game is the annual Fan Appreciation Day. 10,000 fans will receive a Yuli Gurriel Hair Bobblehead, presented by Tecon.

In a special pregame ceremony, Energy Transfer will present the Astros Foundation with a check for $25,000. Prior to the start of the season, Energy Transfer pledged to donate $25 for every strikeout an Astros pitcher recorded at home during the season.

Kids ages 5-12 can stick around for Kids Run the Bases presented by Securian Financial after the completion of the game.
