Astros return for six-game homestand, Aug. 20-25

Highlights of the homestand include Bobblehead giveaways, Faith and Family Night, Dog Day

HOUSTON, TX – The Astros return home for another packed six-game homestand, welcoming the Seattle Mariners from August 20-22 and the Kansas City Royals from August 23-25. Highlights of the homestand include a Kyle Tucker Bobblehead on Aug. 20, a Zack Greinke Bobblehead on Aug. 21, an Alex Bregman Replica White Jersey on Aug. 22, Faith and Family Night presented by Chick-fil-A Houston on Aug. 21 and Dog Day presented by Tito’s Handmade Vodka on Aug. 22.

Friday, Aug. 20 vs. Seattle Mariners - 7:10 p.m. CT

The Astros return from a seven-game road trip on Friday, August 20 to start a three-game series with AL West foe Seattle at 7:10 p.m. CT. 10,000 fans will receive a Kyle Tucker Batting Bobblehead presented by Bank of America.  

During every Friday Night home game at the Michelob Ultra Club, it is the Pregame Happy Hour presented by Budweiser from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Fans can enjoy $5 Ultra Draft, a live DJ and amazing views from the Michelob Ultra Bar. Big and Bright Friday Night Fireworks presented by ConocoPhilips is also on deck, with a 90’s Night theme. Friday Night Fireworks shows are subject to weather. Saturday, Aug. 21 vs. Seattle Mariners - 3:10 p.m. CT

Game two of the series with the Mariners is set for 3:10 p.m. CT on Saturday. 10,000 fans will receive a Zack Greinke Bobblehead, presented by Nolan Ryan Beef.

Jose Altuve will be recognized pregame for being the Astros’ recipient of the MLBPAA’s Heart and Hustle Award, given to one player from each MLB team that demonstrates a passion for the game of baseball and best embodies the values, spirit and traditions of the game.

Saturday is also Faith and Family Night, presented by Chick-fil-A Houston, featuring Contemporary Christian group Vertical Worship. Join us for an inspiring postgame concert following the game vs. the Mariners. The game ticket is also the concert ticket to the postgame concert and seating for the show is general admission. Sunday, Aug. 22 vs. Seattle Mariners - 1:10 p.m. CT

Game three of the series vs. the Mariners is set for 1:10 p.m. CT. 10,000 fans will receive an Alex Bregman Replica White Jersey, presented by H-E-B.

It is also Dog Day, presented by Tito’s Handmade Vodka. Bring your Astros Pup to Minute Maid Park for our annual Dog Day. Your pup will love watching the Astros take on the Mariners and can participate in fun, unique Dog Day activities. Please note due to field access, there will be no pregame parade like in year’s past. In order to bring your dog to the game, you must purchase a ticket for each dog and each human. Fans will not be permitted to bring their dog unless they have a specific Dog Day ticket. One dog per one human will be permitted. The Astros RBI Softball Team, fresh off winning its third-straight RBI World Series title after a 5-3 victory over Atlanta, will be honored prior to the game. The team will also gather in Club 42 prior to the recognition for a celebration and a visit from softball legend Jennie Finch.

The Astros open a three-game series with the Kansas City Royals on August 23 at 7:10 p.m. CT.

Tuesday, Aug. 24 vs. Kansas City Royals - 7:10 p.m. CT

The Astros continue their series vs. the Royals on August 24 at 7:10 p.m. CT. Be sure to arrive early as it is Dollar Dog Night presented by Nolan Ryan Beef as all hot dogs are $1 each throughout the entire game. 

Wednesday, Aug. 25 vs. Kansas City Royals - 1:10 p.m. CT

The Astros finish off a three-game series with the Royals at 1:10 p.m. CT on Wednesday.

HomeAid Houston, a 501(c)(3) charity in its 15th year of partnership with the Astros, will present the key to the winner of their 2021 Project Playhouse on the field in a special pregame ceremony. The “Union Station Playhouse” designed and built by Legend Homes, with donated materials and labor from various vendors, including Greater Houston Builders Association Members. The playhouse had marketing on display at Minute Maid Park during Astros home games from July 7 to August 20, as fans had the opportunity to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win the playhouse. Money raised furthers HomeAid’s mission to help people experiencing or at risk of homelessness build new lives through construction, community engagement and education.
