What is the Brewers Hometown Champions Award?
The Brewers Hometown Champions Award is designed to honor the courage, commitment, and sacrifices of the men and women in fire rescue service, law enforcement, emergency medical services, and first responders across Wisconsin who risk their lives or protect the lives of others, selflessly protecting and serving communities. To thank our Hometown Champions for their service and show our appreciation for the sacrifices they make in keeping communities safe, each month from April 2024 through September 2024, the Milwaukee Brewers Baseball Club, Limited Partnership (the ā€œBrewersā€) will recognize one Hometown Champion in the community.

Who can be nominated for the Brewers Hometown Champions Award?
A nominee for the Brewers Hometown Champions Award must be a firefighter, law-enforcement officer, EMT or first responder residing in Wisconsin and at least 18 years old, who risk their life or protects the lives of others, protecting and serving communities. The Brewers will review all nominations and select one individual to receive the Brewers Hometown Champions Award each month from April 2024 through September 2024.

Who can nominate an individual for the Brewers Hometown Champions Award
Any U.S. resident who is eighteen (18) years of age or older (except in the case of legal residents of certain states where the legal age is greater than eighteen (18) years of age, such legal age of majority) can nominate a qualifying Wisconsin resident 18 years of age or older for the Brewers Hometown Champions Award, provided the nominator has secured permission from the nominee to disclose his/her personal information within the nomination. If a minor child wishes to nominate, the childā€™s parent or legal guardian eighteen (18) years of age or older must submit the nomination. Self-nominations by Wisconsin residents are permitted in accordance with these guidelines. All individuals submitting nominations agree to release and hold the MLB Entities (defined below), including the Brewers, harmless from and against any and all rights, claims and causes of action that may arise against either of them in connection with nominations submitted as part of this program. ā€œMLB Entitiesā€ means the Office of the Commissioner of Baseball (ā€œBOCā€), its Bureaus, Committees, Subcommittees and Councils, MLB Advanced Media, L.P., Major League Baseball Properties, Inc., The MLB Network, LLC, the Major League Baseball Clubs (ā€œClubsā€), each of their parent, subsidiary, affiliated, and related entities, any entity which, now or in the future, controls, is controlled by, or is under common control with the Clubs or the BOC, and the owners, general and limited partners, shareholders, directors, officers, employees, and agents of the foregoing entities.

How do I nominate someone for the Brewers Hometown Champions Award?
Nominations for the Brewers Hometown Champion Award can be made by completing a nomination form online at brewers.com/hometown. All nominations for 2024 award recipients must be submitted between March 1, 2024, and August 31, 2024. Nominations for a given monthā€™s award must be received by the last day of the immediately preceding month (for example, by March 31, for the April award).

How will the Brewers Hometown Champions Award recipients be honored?
Each recipient of the Brewers Hometown Champions Award will be recognized with a Brewers Hometown Champions honorary award medal, and on Brewers social media channels during the corresponding month. The Award recipientā€™s name and photo may also be featured on the Brewers website. All award details, including, without limitation, the exact nature and duration of the recognition on social media channels and/or the Brewers website shall be determined in the sole and absolute discretion of the Milwaukee Brewers and subject to availability.

What else should I know?
The Brewers retain sole and absolute discretion regarding the evaluation of nominees and the selection of each award recipient for the Brewers Hometown Champions Award. If a nominee does not accept the award within 72 hours of a communication from the Brewers notifying the nominee, the Brewers may select a different nominee as the award recipient in the Brewersā€™ sole and absolute discretion. The Brewers may contact nominators or nominees using information provided on the nomination form, for the purpose of evaluating nominees. All decisions made by the Brewers in connection with the Brewers Hometown Champions Award are final, and no correspondence will be entered into relating to these decisions. The Brewers reserve the right to require potential award recipients to complete certain documentation, such as a certificate of eligibility, liability release, publicity release (except where prohibited by law), photo/image waiver and release, and authorization for background check, as a condition of potential selection for receipt of the Brewers Hometown Champions Award.
