Diamondbacks and University of Phoenix Teaming Up for Education
The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation and University of Phoenix are committed to helping Arizona educators provide the best possible learning experience for their students. We are inviting teachers and school administrators to share their most innovative ideas through the application form below for a chance to receive a grant of up to $10,000 to transform educational outcomes at their school!
The Arizona Diamondbacks Foundation and University of Phoenix will invest up to $150,000 in Arizona K-12 schools for the most unique and impactful projects and programs.
Please submit applications by 4:59PM MST on March 15, 2024. See Official Rules for details.
Grants requests should fall within one of the following categories:
Education and Student Impact Programs: Grants in this category will fund projects and programs that demonstrate the potential to improve educational achievements for students.
Innovation and Technology: Grants in this category will be used to support technology initiatives and related supplies that will energize the learning environment for students.
Student Wellness: Grants in this category will address the physical, social and mental health needs of students while they are in the classroom.
Teaming Up for Education Grant Guidelines
- Funding will be distributed for program expenses that directly impact the students.
- Priority will be given to K-12 schools in underserved communities and unique projects that do not currently have funding budgeted.
- Awards will fall within the range of $1,000 - $10,000.
- The program or project must be completed and all funds expended within one year of the award date.
- The Teaming Up for Education Grants generally do not fund:
- Playground equipment or other outdoor campus enhancements
- Endowments
- Fundraising activities or fundraising events
- Individual student needs
- Lobbying or legislative activities
The applications are read and scored by a panel of Arizona Diamondbacks employees and University of Phoenix employees. Applications should be detailed and provide specific information regarding the impact the program or project will have on students. Scoring of the grant applications will be based on the panel’s understanding of the following information from the application:
Overall Program/Project Description: The program or project should demonstrate need, innovation and/or creativity. There should be a clear program or curriculum that the grant purchases will enhance.
Education, Character or Environment Impact: The program or project should positively impact learning, the character and inclusiveness of the student population and/or the learning environment for students.
Budget/Demonstration of Need: The budget narrative in the application should clearly describe how the grant money will be spent and the amount should be in line with the program impact.
Enter by 4:59PM MST on March 15, 2024. The Diamondbacks and University of Phoenix Teaming Up for Education Grant Program will award Grants as determined in its sole and absolute discretion. The Program is open to all Arizona public, private, and nonprofit charter schools that provide classes for any Grade K-12. Only teachers, coaches, and administrators of the school, 18 years of age or older at the time of submission, may submit an application on behalf of a school.Eligible Applicants are allowed to submit multiple applications, and schools are permitted to be named in numerous applications, regardless of Category.
