Split season between High-A Everett (67 G) and Double-A Arkansas (64 G), combining to hit 32 home runs, T-3rd most among any player in the Minor Leagues...was promoted from Everett to Arkansas on June 23...between the two Minor League stops, hit .241 (118x490) with 76 runs, 19 doubles, seven home runs, 32 home runs, 89 RBI and seven stolen bases, getting on base at a .354 clip and slugging .504 (.858 OPS)...appeared in the All-Star Futures Game in Atlanta...named the Northwest League MVP, Northwest League Player of the Week twice (April 6 and May 4), Northwest League Postseason All-Star and MiLB Awards All-MiLB Prospect Second Team and the Mariners Ken Griffey Jr. Minor League Hitter of the Year.

In 116 games between Class-A Modesto (65 games) and High-A Everett (51), hit .288 (129-for-448) with 82 runs, 21 doubles, two triples, 21 homers, 105 RBI and 78 walks with an .881 OPS...Was named Mariners' Ken Griffey Jr. Hitter of the Year at season's end...Was named California League Player of the Month in May (.369 avg., six doubles, six HR, 32 RBI in 26 games)...Named Cal League Player of the Week on May 5 and Northwest League Player of the Week on Aug. 18...Appeared in the Spring Breakout Game in Peoria.

In 70 games between the ACL Mariners and Modesto, hit .303 (73-for-241) with 58 runs, 19 doubles, two triples, 13 HR, 61 RBI and 54 walks with a 1.001 OPS.
