Our players and their families have been giving back to the Pacific Northwest and beyond since 1977. From participating in youth-focused programs like Recess Takeover and Play Ball Challenger to bringing smiles to children’s faces at hospital visits or granting wishes, to fundraising through annual auctions, they are committed to making a positive impact off the field in the communities we share.

Players in the Community
Mariners Families Charities, a service organization for Mariners spouses, families and more, is dedicated to making a positive impact in the Seattle community. Throughout the year, members volunteer their time by engaging with events like hospital visits, providing resources for the foster care community, supporting causes to fight food insecurity, helping raise funds for the Mariners Care Foundation and more.
Each year, Mariners Families Charities hosts or supports a variety of events and organizations, including their annual fan-favorite fundraising events including Mystery Bags and the Favorite Things auction.

The annual Favorite Things auction is a chance each season to bid on exclusive baskets curated by your favorite Mariners! Each basket is filled with personal favorites, autographed memorabilia, game-used or team issued items, snacks, hobby items, and more.
Proceeds from the auction fund programs like Hometown Nine, Sports Sampling Camps and Clinics, the Stay in the Game Scholarship Fund and the Community Impact Grant program.

Each season, the Mariners Family Charities Mystery Bags sale is a hit with fans at T-Mobile Park. With their donation, fans can purchase a Mystery Bag that includes an autographed baseball from a current Seattle Mariners player. Each autograph comes with a letter of authenticity, and proceeds benefit the Mariners Care Foundation’s work across the Pacific Northwest. sea-1920x1080-players-in-community-mystery-bags
