Phillies volunteers serve holiday cheer to cancer patients at Hope Lodge
Earlier this week, the Phillies front office kicked off the 2025 Season of Giving presented by SEI, a month-long initiative to pay it forward and celebrate the holiday season with various charitable events.
To begin the celebration, volunteers from the Phillies hosted a special Thanksgiving dinner for cancer patients who are residing at the American Cancer Society AstraZeneca Hope Lodge in Cheltenham, Pa. Special guests including the Phillie Phanatic, Phillies Ballgirls, and ambassadors Mickey Morandini, Dickie Noles, Milt Thompson and Scott Palmer helped to decorate the room, serve meals, and chat with the residents.
The AstraZeneca American Cancer Society Hope Lodge program provides a free home away from home for cancer patients and their caregivers. More than just a roof over their heads, it's a nurturing community that helps patients access the care they need. Each Hope Lodge community offers a supportive, homelike environment where guests can share a meal, join in the evening's activities, or unwind in their own private room.
