D-backs second baseman/center fielder Ketel Marte and Rays right fielder Austin Meadows are wrapping up breakout seasons in strong fashion, and both were named Players of the Week presented by W.B. Mason on Monday.

Marte, a first-time winner, received National League honors after hitting .542 with four homers and 14 RBIs in six games for a red-hot Arizona club last week. He joins teammates Nick Ahmed and Eduardo Escobar among the D-backs who have won the NL Player of the Week Award this year.

The 25-year-old leads the NL with 178 hits, and he has produced a career-best 32 home runs with a .330 average and a .989 OPS over 595 plate appearances in 2019.

Meadows, meanwhile, wins the American League Player of the Week Award for the second time this season. He posted a .522/.593/1.130 batting line with four home runs and eight RBIs in seven games last week.

On the year, the 24-year-old is hitting .288/.356/.556 with 28 homers over 517 plate appearances. He is one of two Rays, along with Nate Lowe, to earn AL Player of the Week recognition in 2019.
