The Reds placed third baseman Eugenio Suarez and outfielder Scott Schebler on the 10-day disabled list on Monday.
Suarez suffered a fractured right thumb when he was hit on the hand by a pitch in the fourth inning of Cincinnati's 5-0 loss to the Pirates on Sunday. Reds manager Bryan Price did not have a timetable on Suarez's return when he spoke with reporters Monday afternoon in Philadelphia.
Schebler has been dealing with a sore right elbow after being hit by a pitch on April 1. His DL stint is retroactive to Friday.

"It didn't seem like something that would last so long," Price said of Schebler's injury. "But it's been a week now that he hasn't been able to play. He's able to do certain things: he's able to play catch, he's able to swing the bat, but not with the effort that he's going to need to compete."
In the corresponding roster moves, the Reds recalled third baseman Alex Blandino and right-handed pitcher Zack Weiss from Triple-A Louisville.
Suarez, who signed a seven-year, $66 million contract extension last month, is one of the Reds' top offensive producers. He hit .296/.424/.630 with two homers and seven RBIs through eight games this season and set career-high marks with 26 homers and 82 RBIs in 2017.
Schebler, meanwhile, has been taking batting practice but has yet to regain feeling in his right pinky and part of his ring finger, which also affects his ability to make throws. He opened the season batting 4-for-12 with a home run in three games before the injury.
Blandino, the Reds' No. 18 prospect per MLB Pipeline, and Weiss have yet to appear in the big leagues.
