Reds carry 12-man pitching staff for Wild Card Series, leave off Singer, Maxwell

September 30th, 2025

LOS ANGELES -- After all of the players were informed of the decisions on Monday evening, the Reds announced their roster for the National League Wild Card Series vs. the Dodgers on Tuesday ahead of Game 1.

Among the decisions was to leave off starting pitcher Brady Singer, who started Game 162 vs. the Brewers on Sunday. Also not active is rookie reliever Zach Maxwell, who has not appeared in a game since Sept. 16.

Also playing a part in the makeup of the club, manager Terry Francona announced that No. 5 starter Zack Littell would get the ball in Game 2. If there is a Game 3, Andrew Abbott would start. Francona chose Littell because he would be pitching on his normal rest. Nick Lodolo, who suffered a right groin injury in his final start on Thursday vs. the Pirates, will be part of the bullpen in this round.
